Wanted: Sleeping Tent

Just curious, are there outfitters who would rent you a tent? we bought one, and they're not cheap, we only used it once so far--but we're hanging onto it. Just got back from paragon, trying to gear up for a hike in the white mountains next weekend. The cold weather gear is really adding up.

rei is the ems of the west coast, but online they also have the "rei outlet". this is where i got my awesome tent for 70% off. check it out before you spend all your $$$ at paragon..

i second rei, especially because if you become a member, you get 10% of your purchase $ back at the end of the year.
lifetime membership is a one-time fee of something like $15, so if you think you'll EVER spend more than $150, you make money off the deal. i signed up while gearing up for a trip to glacier park. since i had to buy boots and a few et ceteras, it paid for itself on the first purchse. if you're going to buy a tent...well, you can do the math.
