Tony Perrotta--Greenwood Hts. resident--deceased 09/05/06

Not sure who on the Greenwood Hts. area (or on our block, 23rd btwn 6th/7th Aves) knew our neighbors, Tony and Ann Perrotta well, but I wanted to send a note to folks that unfortunately Tony passed away last evening at StoneyBrook College Hospital in L.I.

Ann and her son Michael were just here to tell us and ask us to let folks know about the viewing and funeral.

There will be viewings this Saturday, 9/9 from 2-5pm at Leone's Funeral Home on 21st St./4th Ave. and Sunday, 9/10 at Leone's from 7-9pm.

The service will be at 10:00am Monday 9/11 at St. John's on 21st St.

Tony and Ann recently moved to St. James, L.I. to a new condo to be closer their family. Tony, complaining of back pain for the past year, was immediately diagnosed with cancer that had metastasized through out most of his body.

He and Ann were the two defacto "Mayors of 23rd St." as the spend most spring/summer/fall nights out front in their web chairs block watching and talking with all of us. We will definitely miss him.
