Getting pet records
I went to 6th Ave Animal clinic to pick up records for my dog and they wouldn't release the xrays they took on her. However, they said that they will lend them out to another vet if we want a second opinion. I didn't see anything about this in the disclaimers I signed. Is this fairly standard practice?

5th Ave. Cat Clinic tried to charge me about $8 for my cat's records (after she died ....I thought they were negligent and wanted to have the records to have them reviewed...so at that point it was just flipping insulting). They did say they'd fax the records to another vet at no charge....there were no X-Rays involved though.

They didn't charge for the doctor's notes, which was nice - but it would have been better to have everything.
