Apartment search from hell
Today I found a listing for a $1200 2-bedroom on Bergen between Grand/Classen. Seems really cheap (read: suspect). I'm relatively unfamiliar w/ the area. Comments? Better open apartments? All advice welcome.

Very skanky, deserted block, just walk down it and see.

isn't this block just auto body shops/warehouses? i agree it's deserted and skanky. i think i rode my bike down it once to check out the nabe and some drug dealer whistled at me, assuming that if i was riding, i was trying to cop some narcotics...

Well we're moving out of our 2 bedroom railroad on Park between Classon and Franklin December 1st if you want it! If we stayed, the rent would be going up to $1055, but I bet they'll do some renovations and push it to $1200 since that's what they've done with every other apartment that's turned over since we've lived there.
