Bumped to add some perspective from 2005 to some of the debate going on right now.

Subject: stoop bbqs
I TOTALLY AGREE with you about the stoop bbqs. There are always some in the summer outside my building and its ridiculous. The park is 2 minutes away.
I have never had a problem walking around the block at all. I love this area. I just hope my landlord doesn't keep raising the rent.Candicissima wrote: I like the block a lot but I definitely don't love the stoop BBQs. I hate to sound like an asshole (actually, no I don't care), but you'd think the park would be more fun for a BBQ. I know some of my family members used to that. Yesterday I was lugging two bags of laundry and the assholes sitting on the steps wouldn't even shift. I should've dumped it on their heads!
