I need a Cheaper phone and Internet service...plz help!

If you get cablevision internet + voip without any tv, that'll cost about the same all up. But you'll have free calls to North America, and a better / faster connection. Beyond that... your options are pretty limited. There's DSL over Verizon's copper with 3rd parties like Speakeasy, who have great support and extra services, but it's unlikely to be cheaper.

Have you checked your environs for open wireless connections you can borrow from your neighbors? Or, somewhat more politely, approach your neighbors about sharing a connection and the costs via wireless? A single good cable connection can serve several households unless there's heavy file sharing or serving going on. Probably violates the TOS somewhere, but behind a router/firewall, who's going to know?

What's that? It looks like an early attempt at a device that transmits STP (semaphore transfer protocol). Later revisions are flatter and have colored markings, but still suffer from low data rates, and are even more restricted to line-of-sight than FM/wireless.
