Mugging on Butler Place Last Night

I heard a man screaming help and then a nearby apartment offreing to call 911 (and calling). By the time I got to the window, it was all over and good samaritans had stepped in, but I am guessing this is what it was.

Can anyone confirm if this was the latest in the long string of muggings in the neighborhood?

I actually think this was a different incident, believe it or not, though the one you mention was around the corner seemingly within the same timeframe. This happened during either the 7 or 8 o'clock hour (I think 8). The only reason I think it was a different incident was because it truly sounded like the screaming came from directly across the street. But, again, I got to the window only after it stopped, so perhaps voices carry and it was coming from around the corner. I can only speculate.

I think you're right. I unlocked the thread after receiving a tip by PM that there were actually 3 separate incidents in close proximity that night.

Same general descriptions of the kids. Several witnesses but none that felt they could make a positive ID.

Where on Butler was it? There are cameras on that large building closest to Sterling (east side of the street) - could be some useful footage available.

I'd be willing to bet these same kids were all hanging out in front of the bodega on underhill at EP after all this went down that night. There was a crowd down there laughing and raising hell right after all these posts went up...

So parade rest - what's the story - someone knows who these kids are.
