Thai Food — Brooklynian

Thai Food

Any recomendations on Thai places that deliver? I tried to search, but I only came up with other neighborhood boards.

  • that new thai place at st marks and washington. don't remember name.
  • Thanks. Just found them on google and ordered!
  • Subject: hmm!!

Been ordering take out from there, much better quality than Mango and the crappy one on Fulton. But for lunch i prefer Gen, they have the best lunch special in the hood... Try their yakiniku, best in town...
  • Subject: Udom

Between mango and Udom, i rather go with the latter one. Just like ordering from Zaytoon's and Olive Vine, none of them good!
  • I disagree...I think Zatoons is great. Freshest, best new food in the neighborhood with good service!
  • I usually order from Mango b/c they don't put fish sauce in the dishes labeled as vegetarian (and the food is perfectly passable even if they are really stingy with the rice).
  • Thai Cuisine on 7th ave is our go to Thai delivery.

  • Are there other ex-Chicagoans here who can't understand why good Thai food is so hard to find in NYC? It boggles my mind that Chicago would have better food (of any cuisine) than NY, but we have yet to find decent Thai food. And what about Ethiopian restaurants? Where are they? I'm sure not in PS -- but if anyone knows of a good Ethiopian restaurant in the city, I'd love to know about it.

It's true that excellent Thai food is rare in New York. But last week I made the excursion to Sripraphai in Woodside, Queens, just off the 7 train, and it was well worth the trip. Best Thai food I've ever had. Google it and you'll find plenty of testimonials (it's huge among food nerds).
  • i like the panang curry from udom
