117 MOM PICTURES!!! A 60TH B-DAY GIFT IDEA???

My mom is about to turn 60 and I have 117 of her pictures. I would like to create something very special for her. Anyone know of a place/shop I can visit to get some help or ideas in the neighborhood?? Thanks, Valarie.[/b]

    Subject: Moms birthday

    How about a scrap book with those pictures and you contact her friends and relatives to send their favorite memories of their time spent with your Mom. You could ask each person to create their own scrap page including pictures they have of themselves with your Mom as well. Put together a book that she can keep on her coffee table to share with anyone who stops by or to enjoy on her own.

    We did this for my in-laws 50th anniversary and nothing on earth would have made them happier.
    Good luck. It's really nice that you're doing something special for her and she'll love whatever you do.

    What about one of those large composites that make another picture based on the intensity of the individual photos? I bet there's free software out there that would do that for you.

    scan the pictures and use imovie to make a sideshow to a song she likes. i did this for my sister and her husband after there wedding and gave it to them on christmas and they loved it.....tears and emotions, the whole bit. nothing like a slideshow to a good song. i only took me like 2 hours to feel comfortable with imovie too.

    We got a calendar for Christmas made up of pictures from generations of my spouses family. Usually more than one picture per month. There has to be a place that can do this.

    Try Flickr. You can have them make books calendars etc from images you group together into sets. Had a b-day gift of some photos given to me a few years back and it was pretty good quality.

    Thanks for the suggestion....of going to get some help @ Memories Out of The Box on Vanderbilt Ave...It was a very helpful experience. I felt very comfortable speaking with Martie (the owner). Being that she is a people person, and the way she spoke about the idea of creating a one and only custom gift, made me trust her right away!! She put an album together with all my mom's pictures. Some were even retouched there because
    they were worn out or had stains in them before they were placed in the album. I was very pleased with the outcome....no stickers...just a clean layout. Good to know you can pay to get that done!!! Especially for
    me, who barely has time! Thanks Valarie
