washington ave. rules

so. on my walk to the subway this morning I passed a small asian woman with a, maybe, 1 year old kid also walking a gigantor dog. the dog was super patient, considering the kid was slower than slow and the woman was keeping up with him.

then, outside of the bodega at the western side of st. johns & washington, I saw another huge dog, black but maybe a great dane? with a boxer tied up and hanging out for someone in the bodega. at calabar, a guy wearing a rastafarian hat was singing when doves cry but in a really strange, probably reggae structure.

so much food for thought in 3 minutes. loved it.

  • this would have been even more insane if, say, gus popped out of tom's and hugged you hello. :) great stuff.
  • Thank you Alafairnadia for the positive post. It refreshing. For to long this board has been going down the negiative path. To keep this post going in the positive direction. I submit:

I woke this morning to the sound of birds chirping and fresh air blowing into my livingroom. I watched my 14 month old son play on the floor.
Spring is right around the corner. We need it.

It's good to be alive in Brooklyn.

    :D
  • To add more positive stuff: This morning I was out walking the pup on Vanderbilt and half a block ahead of me a woman's grocery bag busted open, her goods spilling out onto the wet sidewalk. 2 people had already stopped to help her pick it all up in the time it took for me to get there. One of whom crossed the street. That was some mighty neighborly behavior, wouldn't you say?
