What happened here this AM around 8.30ish? I got to the stop and service was stopped, with fire/ambulances parked out front.

Thats is interesting because when I got to the Bergen/Flatbush Ave station at around 9:15 there were cop cars sitting on the corner with police (not traffic agents) directing traffic. I have never seen that before and wonder if something happened on Flatbush.
  • I must be really out of it becasue I was at the 7th Ave. stop at around 9 a.m. and didn't notice a thing.

The Q came and was a bit crowded but then the B came and it was pretty light for a weekday morning.

They have been repaving Park Ave., and maybe it had something to do with that?
  • I got there around 8:15 or 8:20 this morning and I saw... something.

There were impatient-looking people on the platform and a B train standing still in the station with all the doors closed. I stood around for a while, also becoming impatient.

An announcement said that there was a sick passenger, and I saw a cop escorting a young-looking woman from the bottom end of the platform. She didn't look ill to me and it looked like he had her firmly by the upper arm. Not sure if she was the "sick passenger" or if this just happened to be something going on at the same time.

Then an announcement said that it would be a while and invited people to come upstairs for vouchers to transfer to the 2/3. I've never heard them concede that it's going to take a long time like that before, so I bolted for GAP. Suckiest commute I've had in a long time.
