Sophia Inn???
Hey All,
My mom's coming into town next month and will need to stay at a hotel for a couple nights. She's found the Sophia Inn on Park btw Vandy & Underhill. Any thoughts or experiences anyone could share? It's SUPER close to me, which is awesome, but I'm hoping for a little confirmation on the B&B.
Many Thanks!

The one time some friends of mine tried to get a room there, it was booked up, so I'm not sure.

i've heard all good things - but don't have 1st hand experience. it's right by joyce and the visitors seemed to love that.

I too am curious to hear others experice for when the parents come by.
Heres their website:

If you look at the bottom of their room rates you will see thisThe Sofia Inn does not serve breakfast, but we will cheerfully direct you to several great breakfast spots less than a block from the hotel.
Funny that their domain name is "bed AND breakfast" but anywho.... -
i also don't have any first hand experience with this place, but i've lived in the nabe for over 7 years and have always heard good things. my first apt in the 'hood was on park between underhill and washington, and even then i heard good things about it.
if your parents try it, would love to hear about how it was! -

My mom was in town for Easter weekend. The Sophia Inn was booked, as was this new one: http://www.sterlingbedbreakfast.com/
She finally stayed at this one (right across the street from my place): http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/vac/636005824.html -
Subject: Mother's Day
New Yorker has $200 rates for Mother's Day.
Been awhile, but I loved it. -

My parents stayed in the garden apartment there at the end of December. It seemed very nice: spacious kitchen, outdoor space, the bed was comfortable and even the option of using an extra bedroom off the kitchen. The only thing I would complain about is the size of the bathroom- picture an airplane bathroom. When they were checking out we went upstairs and all the other rooms were empty so we took a peek at them. They were renovating the first/parlor floor into another "apartment style" room...with a much larger bathroom. Better light but no separation between the sitting and sleeping space.
