Has anybody had any luck escalating an issue with ConEd?
I am still getting bills from my old apartment - five months and 8 calls later (plus faxing documentation at least 5 times). Every single person commits to fixing it and calling me back, and none do.
I've finally figured out exactly how to be enough of a pain in the ass for Time Warner and Dell to fix my problems, but no luck yet with ConEd
Anybody have any executive phone numbers or emails or other ways in to somebody who will take ownership of this until it's fixed?

Ugh, Flexi, that sucks.
I haven't had to do anything with ConEd (knock on wood) but I always swear by Consumerist.com's tips for executive escalation. Here are a couple of good individual links:
What To Say When You Call The CEO's Office

The Ultimate Consumerist Guide To Fighting Back (Revised Edition)

They don't appear to have any ConEd executive contact info in their archives -- at least, I couldn't find anything myself. But you might want to email your story to the editors -- they very well may find it worth posting about, and you could get some great advice or help that way. And a lot of companies monitor Consumerist.com for negative mentions so they can make the embarrassment go away quickly, so just getting something posted there might get your problem handled at last. -
Thanks for the links.....I'm pretty good at getting responses when I feel like taking the time to escalate, I just haven't been able to come up with any good ConEd phone numbers/names to get to. They suck ass. I'm very glad my electric is included at my new apt

Maybe you should get one of the peoples names (who promise to fix it) and keep calling them...

I have all of their names, they just won't put you back on the phone with the same person....I'm going to try the group suggested above...and I'm going to name all of the people I dealt with -

Flex - you may want to make a trip to their office in MetroTech and speak to a supervisor. Sometimes going to a human and letting them see your frustration helps. Good luck

Thanks, Stacey..I may have to meditate beforehand so I don't "Go Electric" on them (how come people only "go postal"? I'm ready to "Go Cable" next time I deal w. TWC)
