If anyone lives near 1617 35th st ("P" ave & Quintin St). I would really appreciate a photo of the house. My mother and uncle grew up there and were curious what the house looks like now.

I live in Los Angeles and plan to visit someday, but have not been able to as of yet.
Any efforts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I grew up in that neighborhood. It's called Marine Park and it's 1617 35th St. between Quentin Rd. and Ave. P. The next time I'm over there visiting my best friend who still lives there, I will take a picture for you. Most of the houses in that neib have pretty much remained the same(save some really tasteless refacing!).

My house was at 1765 Marine Parkway between Quentin and Ave. R. It was a beautiful little Dutch Colonial and what the people that bought it did to it is a crime. It irks me just to think about it...

Anyway, I will do my best to get you a pic soon!

Thank you SO MUCH. I truly appreciate it. My mother has passed away, but my Uncle (who lives in Washington state now) is looking forward to seeing his boyhood home. My grandparents immigrated to NY from Ireland in 1935, bought the house and raised 3 kids there. I was there for my grandfathers funeral in 1970 and I vaguely remember the house. I look forward to seeing the picture when you get it.
