Hey all,

my building was robbed on monday, april 28th during the day.
the guilty party climbed up through the second story window and
ransacked my neighors.

on the way out, they stole my grey SPOT singlespeed mountain bike...
rockshox front fork, chris king headseat.... i loved this bike. i know i'm not going to see it again, but im trying to get the word out.

le gamin, also on my street, has been robbed twice in the past month.
and attempted burglary at beast over the weekend.

yes, i filed a police report..... but everyone in this area keep aware.

  • That's fucked up, I don't have bars on my old-school crappy windows. Luckily the only thing worth stealing in my place is my laptop. I have no valuables.

There's an old beach cruiser abandoned on my sidwalk, PM me if you want it. It'll need new tires I'm assuming and chain.

    Sorry for your loss.
  • from the street side or the back?

    just curious
thanks for the heads up and sorry for your lost bike!
this reminds me to look into insurance like now
  • damn gideon8, that's a sweet bike..my buddy has a spot single speed also. my condolences.
  • Good thing it was only a robbery. I know a lady who woke up to a man standing on her fire escape, tapping her window.
  • What's up with all the robberies in the area lately, is there a ..... crime wave?

    Good God, what happened next???
  • Subject: burglary vs robbery

    burglary

robbery implies use of interpersonal force/violence

I'd check Craigs List. I know someone who was actually able to track down the bike and get it back that way. Don't totally count that out!
