  • Tough one, but I'd have to say that RAD is more my speed.

  • That was beyond bitchin.'

    Moar.
  • This one was pretty fierce, actually:

  • Not as cool as rad, but it has that one chick.

  • Was that Scott Baio at 1:07 in that first video?
  • Yep. And Patrick Swayze as the jilted, tough-guy dancing beau at 1:21 etc.

Funny thing is, his pal at 1:23 actually looks a lot like Bret from Flight of the Conchords, hah.
  • I finally got onto a real computer and watched these videos last night. Let me say that the roller jam shit, well I'm too young for that I am glad to say and fucking A. I remember RAD, that was cool. Suburbia is a classic, and of course all the punks have to cry at the end for the little boy on his big wheel. But It doesn't really fit into here, that I can see. One that _would_ however, in the genre of retarded, whatever genre this is, would be Gleaming the Cube. Real skaters with Christian Slater. And who could forget Natas' incredible ollie into the back of that truck with his arms full of equipment, not I! The other one I would nominate would be Thrashin'. I mean, besides the Red Hot Chili Peppers before they were commercially viable and the Circle Jerks, it has the older brother from the Goonies, the requisite love story, Tony Alva and some of the Bones Brigade skating.

Anyways. If I were YouTubable, I would be posting trailers from Gleaming the Cube and Thrashin', fo shure!
  • After posting RAD, I was going to post the skateboard "dance" from Cube, but I decided against it... but, since you asked for it!

  • Dude. Is that Horshack in the first one?

    Old school, and awesome:

Those were the days. Scott Baio was King and Ruth Buzzi could still get Top Billing over Patrick Swayze. You can see the begining of his Dirty Dancing Days btw.
