  • I can't believe it but a door bashed my foot this afternoon, now its swollen and I can't put any weight on it, thus I will not be able to join you.
    :(

I'm so bummed! I stayed in town this eve especially and now can't join in.

Have fun though, and post to let us know how it went.

  • Awww, Nomad- that sucks, hon. I've heard (and I think Dr. C can back me up on this) that copious amounts of this liquid called "alcohol" dulls pain. I think that the best way for you to get better is to go to FP where they have a steady supply of this aformentioned "alcohol" where it can be administered to you in the doses which you require.
Seriously though, feel better-you will be missed!
    :rabbit:

Oh yea, and if you need anyone to kick that door's ass, I suggest calling Em26. She's a toughy, and she hates doors!

  • Thanks Carnivore & Whatchuwant. Believe me if I could I would limp on to FP but don't think its gonna happen.

    Have a beer for me!

  • The inaugural Brooklynian Midnight Ride is now complete! Sorry I didn't get to stick around for the drinks...next time I'll come better prepared in the lock & chain department. I'm sure the FP crew will have many anecdotes to add, but we should definitely do it again some time!

Anyway, here are some impressive statistics for our ride (including the jaunt over to Franklin Park).

    Distance: 4.6 miles
    Average Speed: 10.3 mph
    Top Speed: 22 mph
    Number of Accidents: 0

What about that kid on the skateboard? I mean, technically, I suppose it wasn't _our_ accident. But we did have to ride around him, so it's gotta count for something. And we should add a category for number of PPPartays, my count was one.

  • I wiped out on the way home. Not sure if that counts.
    No injuries.

  • Sorry, I really wanted to join you at FP but my body decided to make friends with the porcelain throne instead.

As soon as I saw the skateboarder lying on the ground, I was certain that you were going to try to jump clear over him in a bunny hop. I was equal parts relieved and disappointed when you didn't.

So, yeah, a lot of ones:
    one park partay
one woman jogging alone in the dark after midnight
one temporary infiltrator (exited at the southwest corner)

    Some twos:
    Two police cars

I would like to be outraged at that, except that since the thought _did_ cross my mind...
one woman jogging alone in the dark after midnight
I forgot to pay close enough attention, but was she wearing an iPod???
one temporary infiltrator (exited at the southwest corner)
Yes, but she signaled emphatically and magnificentally.
    Some twos:
    Two police cars
And a partridge in a pear tree.

  • Fun times.

I missed the police cars, but I, too, thought someone (i.e. daver) was going to bunny hop over the fallen skateboarder.

Oh, and one more stat for us losers who actually stuck around until closing time.

Number of times I totally kicked Mamacita's ass in arm wrestling after she became almost-disturbingly impressed by my order of Jameson's on the rocks: 2
