    Nervous Cabaret are fun, too — gruff, raucous, blaring fun. Recommended.

    I remember seeing Nervous Cabaret when i first started going out with My baby's Mamma about 8 or 9 years ago. Eliah the singer is really good friends with her, and i think he was just starting the band then, it was at a loft in Dumbo just regular house party but they all whipped out instruments and it was a good old jam. And i remember thinking how cool Eliah's singing was and still is. I think that they are one of the most original bands in NYC!

    yes, the lead singer of nervous cabaret, elyas khan (aka Kid Sic) is no stranger to our neighborhood as for many years he and some others operated a loft/ art space on dean st called the dean st FOO (field of operations) which hosted music, theater, and art shows.
