Is that anything like the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator?

Close. Same physics, but different scale. -
I am a corporate/finance attorney and it blows because all you really do is move money from one bank account to another for some asset, merger, blah, blah. blah. But it always has to get done as soon as you get the call. I can never commit to being anywhere at any time because some client may be getting bought or buying someone. It is really stupid. But it pays just enough to keep most people like me doing it. So really, I have only myself to blame.

how come none of you lawyers are intellectual property attorneys? i always need one of those.

to be a patent atty you need to be a) an expert in something other than the law (like, say, electrical engineering) and b) take another bar exam. all other IP law is allegedly wildly boring. -
my cousin (who lives in LA and isn't barred in NY. which SUCKS) was one before she became a film producer. she used to do stuff like helping "design within reach" incorporate itself. she said it was fun.
i'd have never gotten through law school. all that reading... -

Hi, I'm new to the forum so I thought I'd introduce myself...other than the "groceries" thread I started earlier.
Lived in the neighborhood a bit over 2 years, still exploring. Had a magical period of about a year when I had really good hours, but the first six months and the last six have involved 11-12 hour days so my first-hand experience with bars/restaurants in the hood is sadly limited.
I work in fashion, specifically denim design, which puts me just above the "poor" category from the other thread.
brooklynpotter, would love to know where you do your work! I haven't done pottery in more than 2 years, due to my studio in the city closing. It reopened in LIC after I moved here, which unfortunately would have been OK if I still lived in Williamsburg... -
nauga, i have my own studio in sunset park. private, not a share. it seems every place with shares is closing up.

Poo. Sometimes I flirt with the idea of going to Mudpit, as they keep sending me info emails, but Williamsburg can be such a pain to get to from here.
-
do NOT go to the mudpit.
there is a place in carroll gardens, don't know the name.
do NOT go to the mudpit -
!!! Really? What's wrong with them? I took a little tour when I still lived in Williamsburg, but my place in the city still made more sense to me so I never went. My neighbor did go and hated it, but for a very specific reason (they gave her bad advice and she ended up paying lots for a pot she didn't like).
Are you thinking of the Painted Pot? I always thought it was only a paint-your-own kind of place but I just looked it up and they do have wheels... -
let me PM you
and yes, painted pot. -
I do back of the house work (grants management, budgets, computers and infrastructure) for a non-profit. ...I worked for a 15 years in mental health as Social Worker, but have now escaped.
Howdy, Stranger!
