Relevance?

there is no real relevance to anything in life, but our daily experiences we want to share.

I feel ya man, I got it in the ankles and I look nasty now. Though it's in the healing stage.

LOL, we have this thread every year! Last year I started wearing OFF to bed in my own home. I'm getting itchy just thinking about it.

Throw water balloons at them.

Filled with pee that's "straight from the tap." -
I don't have mosquitoes, but does anyone know what the tiny bright green flying bugs are? They get through my screens and they bite.

I haven't had any mosquitoes in Brooklyn, but when I was outside with the kids in south shore Staten Island the other night I got seriously hammered by them.

I have them, too! Does anyone know what they are or where they came from??? -
they probably come from some stagnant water source. maybe old tires in some yard, or bucket in some yard, bird bath etc......
-
I have a harebrained theory that they sometimes hatch in the collected water in the AC units...

First big wave of bites last night. I woke up with at least 6, the majority on my feet which is one of my least favorite spots for a bite. New tube of extra strength antihistamine cream has been purchased!

Complaints every year, but you guys have no idea how good we have it here in relative terms. The fact that the really effective mosquito control devices (e.g. the electric poison vaporizers) used in other parts of the world aren't on sale in every bodega, pharmacy and supermarket, is testimony to the fact that a few bites a night is nothing.

I think it might be the booze in my blood, or maybe i just smell bad but i never get bitten, when daughter comes into bed and windows are open, poor girl gets the biggest bites ever and i never do, i am jealous!!
Sorry Mamacita!

Really, I never noticed there was a mosquito problem here, but then again, I grew up in a swamp.
Are bug zappers common around here? I highly suggest them, they may or may not get every bug, BUT you'll get such a kick out of that little "bzzzt" each time one of those menacing goons bites it. It truly is one of the more pleasant sounds of summer.
Though it may not be good for your karma. -
I am getting eaten alive at night by skeeters! Today I bought a fresh bunch of rosemary to hang over the bed, as I've read they hate the smell, and got rosemary scented lotion. I don't want to sleep with bug repellent on my skin.
Howdy, Stranger!
