Please 18th or 25th. I'll be a bit tired on the 18th but I can deal with that.
-
i can do either the 11th or the 25th. i just voted the 11th cause I'll live closer to the park on that date
-
I can do 11th or 18th, not the 25th.
-
Every Friday! Let's start with the 11th though.
-
I can do the 11th, but not the 18th or 25th. I'm inclined to second Christina's request of every Friday!
-
I'm down for the 11th. Anyone else think we should do two laps this time?
And maybe start at 11:30pm? I know that sound like sacrilege, but I checked the handbook of midnight bicycle rides (I just happen to carry a copy with me at all times):
The term "midnight bicycle ride" shall be applied to any event in which, at the stroke of midnight, the majority of participants are engaged in propulsion of a human powered vehicle with two wheels larger than 4" in diameter.
So...we dont have to start at midnight, as long as we're _riding_ at midnight. -
wow- you guys not getting your regular day rides in? Kay- it's looking like the 11th...start pumping your tires....
-
11th is cool with me. I vote for two laps as well. The one lap last time felt so short.
I need to go order my cup holder... -
Bah...not the 11th. Oh well, have fun, maybe I'll catch one of these someday.
-
11th works for me. Weeee!
-
either the 11th or the 18th works.
-
I think any day will work from me, but I've got to check to be sure.
Leaning 11th or 18th, but will vote when I know when for sure.
Yay! This time I'm going to take more pictures to document it all.
-
If you publish them you must blur our faces. :shaking2:
-
Dropped my bike off at Bicycle Station for a tune up today. Come next week, my 18 year-old Ross Mt. Olympus is going to be one sweet ride!

No worries, if this time around is anything like last time, I'm quite sure the alcohol in my blood will do a pretty good job making sure all the pictures turn out quite blurry..
But actually, seriously, if anyone has a problem with a sorta-stranger taking pictures and possibly putting them up here for all in the forums to see, let me know, either now or the night of the ride. I'm a sucker for privacy, so I can see how that might be an issue for some. -

Hmmm, and we were just talking about privacy issues and our online lives....
I took pics at the CH Crawl but decided against posting them. I should put them up off-site at some point and PM those that are in them. -

Or paste everyone's avatar over their face.
-
So where shall we go for drinks this time? Franklin Park again? Some other joint?
-
I think FP was good for our purposes the first time. And you were able to walk right in with yours, Caaa! Bonus bags.
FP-unless there are objections? -
FP worked out great, I thought. Could kinda keep an eye on the bikes locked up right out front, and why spend a hopefully-beautiful summer night all holed up indoors at one of the other 90% of the bars?
I'd love to do 2 laps as well. One just went sooo quick...
Oh, and I think I'll do the same about the pics.. -
I was going to suggest face masks, unless someone can print out my avatar big enough for my head. Though I guess I could just go to White Castle and get some delicious chicken rings to put on my face directly. But no, I can't be bothered.
If we see the crazy jogger lady again shall we say something? -
definately 2 laps. the only disadvantage about FP is there is no kitchen ...we'll have to replace the calories lost from the ride by only drinking.
But, FP does allow dogs, and Dude enjoyed meeting folks. -
DUDE! I LOVE Dude!

This time we're going to put the hammer down, lest we end up chronicled as not worthy of a tire pump again (ahem, JonCane)!!

Or we could just drink more (or, in my case, drink at all). -
FYI: Brooklyn Critical Mass (http://times-up.org/index.php?page=brooklyn-critical-mass) in on the 11th as well for anyone who's interested.
Not definite on whether I'm going to ride it, but might if others are interested in doing it as well.

Nah - that was posted with love. I support anyone getting on a bike for any reason; whether they're spandex clad, leg-shaving geeks like me, or commuters, or whatever. Plus there were at least two other Brooklynian posters at our ride.

BTW, in the running world there's a cult event called the Beer Mile (www.beermile.com) in which you run 4 x 1/4 mile with a 12 oz beer (drink a beer, run a quarter, beer, quarter, beer, quarter, beer, quarter) with a penalty for "reversal". Sounds like you might have some fun with that one too.
Happy riding. -
If this keeps up I'll hafta break down and buy a bike.
-
Sounds like 11th is ideal. I might do the CM earlier in the evening, too.
-
My cup holder is on the way...

-
I hear all the cool kids bike on July 18th, just sayin...
Howdy, Stranger!
