You have to know that this is the culinary equivalent of making a haj to Mecca. There's no turning back, no second guessing, and no critical review. You decide to go and you go and no matter when you go it will be crowded and there will be true believers there before you. You will watch Dom make one pie order at a time and you will be mesmerized at the love and care and skill and fresh ingredients that go into it. You will be child-like in your anticipation of the coming of your pie. And, if the planets are aligned, and the gods of even heating are present in the building you will get a perfectly charred pie, crispy crust and perfect temperature center and it will be the best pie you have ever eaten. You will not ever think anything differently. Because you made the ultimate commitment to this pie with your heart, your soul, your head and your love Of Dom and the myth and mythology that surrounds him.

After all, it spawned daver's misguided sig quote (HA, 'twas a good idea after all! ;) ), and the semi-regular friday night midnight rides through the park. ;)
    We share that one.

share, schmare, this is alcohol we're talking about.. MINE!! ;)
  • may i suggest:

first prize: one bottle of three olives flavored vodka.

    second prize: two bottles.
  • Over mimosas at brunch this weekend I decided that Carmen should get the booze, after all, SHE ATE A BIG FREEKING ROACH eerr..WATERBUG in a wrap!

Girl needs to gargle with the all three of those bottles of vodka to get that taste out of her memory.

hahahaha. True that. Portabellas are ruined forever! ;)
  • Daily Heights seems to be partial to my Associated letters post. ...but I give away the vodka with the letters. A bunch of drunks eating chicken rings, dancing around Underhill at midnight, all while admiring some filthy decrepit plastic letters ...I can't think of anything more beautiful.
  • I failed at my mission, so the vodka remains up for grabs
