Great turnout, and a great ride. The fireworks were cool, and the Cyclone and Wonder Wheel were fun as always. The food at Tatiana was good (not quite as good as Cafe Glechik, but good); too bad the service wasn't better.
We have to do this again! -
You :x :x :x
I might be going up there Sunday. So I will get my ketchup hot dog if you like it or not.
Good night. :x -
I'm fucking beat. I think between getting up at the ass crack of dawn (for me these days), being out all day, hanging out at cattyshack with really fucking strong drinks, eating an empanada that totally made me hurl (sorry WYW - I actually had to jump off the train to deal with that little issue), being hungry, half drunk and too hot, I think I was essentially an incredibly cranky AFN tonight (sorry guys, I'm not normally that cranky). on the good side, I had a lot of fun despite my crankiness and got to read more of 2600 aloud. totally worth the trouble. plus those fireworks were off the hook. I'd D train it out there any day of the week for that shit again (but holy crap, the Q takes FOREVER).

Yep. Definitely fun. Cool to meet some new people.
Now we need a new destination...(although I still want to eat some funnel cake. Or dinner, full stop). :-)
We may have to do some sort of Red Hook ride. There's the ballfields, bait and tackle, and I know one of the Saturday night bartenders at Sonny's. Just throwing that out there. -
Fun ride(s). I'm dragging ass a little.
I second the Red Hook ride. -
OK! When?? Someone start the new thread
-
Red Hook. Good suggestion.
My voice today is even worse than it was last night. Sore throat seems mostly gone (it's not hurting), but my voice just isn't there. grr..
Fun times, thanks everyone! Ride back was reallllly nice. -
red hook sounds good. one of my pals is a barkeep at bait & tackle - I'll find out what afternoons he works and get us some kind of deal. also, this means I might get some actual exercise in the whole thing by walking my ass htere (shit! I'd have to leave EARLIER than you guys!!)

A few pictures from last night (none reveal too much of anyone, but PM me if you want any of them removed from public for whatever reason).
I don't think the full width is showing, so click on em to see full width.

MOD NOTE: I switched your image tags from BBCode to html, which seems to have fixed the width problem.

Nice pics possibly_maybe! As the song goes:
"She said don't I know you
From the cinematographer's party
...
In the back of my head
I know what I know" -
I too had much fun! Now I've ridden the Cyclone I can cross that off my to-do list...!
Think a Red Hook ride would be very fab! When??! -
Tomorrow (I mean today, Sunday).
Yes? YES???? -
BTW my pics are on Flickr, pm me with an email address if you want the link

Don't mind me I'm just tired and grumpy.

Damn the fireworks looks great! Next time for sure I will make it the whole night. The ride was a total blast and Christina, thanks for nudging me along. Now I need a midnight ride under my belt!
-
Thanks, mod, for the fix!
One more fireworks shot. So many to choose from...
Oh, and Duffy'sSis, my gf actually HAS been to your tuesday class! She remembers you by name, and said that you're really great and let her try a heart rate monitor one time.
-
the trails were clearly cooler than the fireworks.

there's a couple more in which the FSM made His Noodly Appendage even more apparent!
unfortunately, they're otherwise poor photographs.. -

Oh no. Is that ketchup I see on that beautiful roast beast? For shame.... [-X

I was laughing when I loaded my photos. The ones of us standing around waiting for the fireworks. The shots are totally similar. At least we know Canon is consistent!
Edit: And I just noticed that you are in my picture of the fireworks. So that picture is me taking a picture of you taking that other picture.
