  • NOt only Mex, but Salvadoran, can´t wait to eat a couple of Pupusas and spicy curtido. Or Maybe some leche de tigre for my constitution!
  • I'm in. pupusas with cheeze and jalapenos, baby goat tacos ... must go. why must you go so early, tho? they're open til 7 and really, it'll probably be stupid hot at noon which is when I'd have to start walking to get my fat-ass there.
  • Shit i don´t even know how to get there. By the way, my dad just bough a Pupuseria, last week i had like 4 cheese and Loroco pupusas, i must have eaten the whole curtido container.
  • Didn't realize they're open that late. Well folks, we can either do lunch or early dinner, I guess....so...

When RSVP'ing, please state whether you'd like earlier or later and majority will rule.

    That is all.
  • I can come if it's dinner-ish time, since I'll be working overnight the night before and that night. If it's early, I'm out (hopefully I'll be sound asleep).
  • let's do an early dinner and then drinks at bait & tackle or wherever.
  • I'm in for early dinner, but no drinks for me this week.
  • I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it at all.. Will have a better idea sometime later in the week.
  • I'm up for a 6pm start. That will give me time to follow through with my brunch and Brooklyn Brewery tour plans earlier. We can have drinks beforehand, dinner at the ballfields, more drinks afterwards. Something like that.
  • I am supposed to meet friends for dinner this Saturday evening. But if my plans change, I am in.
  • I'll be on vacation, be prepared for LONG ass lines, worst than last year. Papi was there this past weekend.
  • They should open another ballfield.
  • Hmmm... how about 4 or 5ish?

How the hell do you get there by subway anyhow?
  • I vote for later too so we can do Bait and Tackle/Sonny's. Plus, the husband said he'd meet us over there for the drink portion of the night. Yay!
  • I'm planning to walk down 9th st.
  • In case anyone cares, the one-way trip is roughly two chicken rings (three miles) to Red Hook from Prospect Heights. Now I need to find an online chicken ring to burrito converter.
  • Went there on Saturday - biked from Clinton Hill and took us about 20 minutes at a cruising pace. The bike back is much better, just go straight up Clinton St. (Bike lane all the way)

There were hardly any lines when we showed up at around 11:30ish. It was our first time and I heard last year there were a lot more. There were only about 5-6 trucks at the time.
  • What street are the ballfields closest to? I guess we could take Court or Henry there. I agree that Clinton is best for getting back.

Edit: Oh, nevermind. On the map it looks like Henry dead-ends into the housing projects. Court it is, I guess.
  • Clinton, Bay and Court streets. Mostly around Clinton/Bay though.
  • this is a great idea. Of course, I'll be out of town. I hope we plan to do this more than once?
  • these appear to be happening every week combining faux exercise with drinking and eating madness. me? I'm bringing my booze along til we hit the bar.

Can you get away with booze in a plastic cup at the ballfields? That would be very good.
  • last year we did mimosas and sangria.
  • Totally can't make it. Have to go to a vegan restaurant for dinner instead. Enjoy some real food for me okay?
  • You can take the 4th ave & 9th street free Ikea shuttle to red hook and just walk the couple of blocks to the park. The M/R goes to 9th street.
  • Thank you, Mamacita.

Now, have we settled on a time yet?
  • Ohhhhh, this is gonna be fun!

Saturday's in Red Hook have been known to be a good time/place to find MK.
