I'm looking for a dentist I don't have to go into The City to see. Can you recommend a dentist in the Prospect Heights/Crown Heights/Park Slope area? They must take insurance - thanks as always for help on this.

  • Nor'easter I would do a quick search on this site, to find a few dentist selections. There have been a few threads on dentist over the last 6 months.
  • Dr. Nathaniel Sasson on 9th Street between 5th and 6th. He's great.
  • We use Dr.Sabioni on Prospect Park West. The office staff is really helpful w/insurance issues and just generally very friendly. After having been to a number of scheister dentists in the city, this guy is a breathe of fresh air. He won't tell you need XYZ unless you really do need it.
  • There's Plaza Dental (i think it's called) on Plaza between Flatbush and Vanderbilt. I've been there a few times and the staff is great and friendly. Too bad about no evening hours though.
  • I highly recommend Dr. Samantha Ifill at Garden Dental Arts. She's located at 213 Eastern Parkway just down from the Brooklyn Museum. She accepts a lot of different kinds of insurance and has some evening and weekend office hours. Very friendly staff. (718)230-3183

    Totally agree with this recommendation!
  • Dr. Sergey Belenkiy at 10 Plaza St E #1F seemed cheerful and entirely competent to me and a fast worker. Took my Ameritas insurance and the total cost for a major procedure was reasonable.

me too - Sabbione is a good guy
except I think the address is Plaza St - it's the road that curves down from Union St and PPW. His new associate is good - Dr Hansen. He only *looks* 12-years-old.
  • thank you so much everyone - I'm glad to keep my $$$ in the neighborhood and I really appreciate the candid recommendations. knew I could count on you. thanks
  • I love my Park Slope dentist - Dr. Robert Rosenkranz (300 8th Avenue, 718-499-5323).
