Bodega at Bergan and Washington Closed (New Bar?)!

So I walked by there today, its one with the yellow sign on the corner of Bergan and Washington. A bunch of guys where gutting the inside, I went into Brooklyn Sub asked the guys there if they knew what was up and one guy told me a bar is going in its place. Nothing puts a smile on my face like hearing about another watering hole in the hood! Anyone got any more info/rumors?

    do you mean the bangladeshi one connected to the indian/pizza place that was open for a few months? maybe they're connecting the two spaces?

    Must be - that one had a yellow sign and has recently shut down.

    It was one of the dirtiest, saddest bodegas ever -- can't say I'm sorry to see it go. The guys over at Brooklyn Sub keep a much nicer shop anyway.

    yes, that is the one. and i always wondered how they stayed open with brooklyn sub right across the street. there was really nothing in there accept some generic 6 packs and crappy candy bars. i really hope a bar does go in there.....a good one!
