    Yes, the hair salon/barber thing boggles my mind too. We need some variety here! What sense does it make to open a business that is not needed.
    The fact that all the hair salons/barbers manage to stay open suggests that at least some people think they are needed. Even if some places managed to secure long term leases at fairly low rates, the new places must be paying market rates. There must be a lot of business to go around or these places wouldn't be open. None of them are in business to lose money.

  • I just want to say I miss Washington!!!!! I curse the day I left my apartment, but I would have been in poverty.
