Where To Buy Soft Corn Tortillas? — Brooklynian

Where To Buy Soft Corn Tortillas?

There seem to always be those ingredients that are difficult to find. I want some soft corn tortillas, the small size (6 inch), as opposed to the flour ones that are sold in almost every grocery store. Anyone? Something akin to what they use at Chavella's. Thanks!

  • I've bought them at the Key Foods on Flatbush and Sterling before.
  • I think I've gotten them at Key Foods, too. Worst comes to worst head up to Whole Foods.
  • trader joes has them.
  • The ones I got at Union Market tasted funny. Kind of bitter.
  • actually, for the chavella's size, I'd head down to sunset park.
  • Seriously, small corn tortillas are available at:
Key Food on 5th Ave at Baltic
Key Food on Prospect Ave. & 11th Ave
    FoodTown on Macdonald & Albemarle
    C-Town on 9th St. between 5th & 6th

Probably other places too, but these are the only places I ever shop. I've actually had a harder time finding good flour tortillas than corn tortillas.
  • Go into Sunset park on 5th avenue and you can find some really good ones at some of the local stores. There is also a distributor last I checked (not sure if they are made there) on 15th street between 7th and 8th avenue in the Slope. Happy corn disc hunting.
