Knitting behind the Brooklyn Museum!
Saturday, August 23 from 3:30 to 6:00, or until they kick us out!
Organizer: Eliza B.
Join us for a summer afternoon knitting behind the Brooklyn Museum! It's a knitters best kept secret — very pleasant, relatively quiet on the benches in the shade. If anyone is participating in the Ravelympics, this will be one of the final days to finish your projects! What better way to do it than with a group of like-minded knitters!
Charity Knit and Crochet
Eliza B. is organizing a drive to knit or crochet winter items for children in Afghanistan. A small pair of mittens won't take long, and it's a great way to use up extra yarn. For Ravelers, more information is available on our Ravelry.com Knit PH page or just e-mail Eliza B. at [email protected].

Lots of people call knitting "therapy". I think that you should meet a few of us before you decide that's the type of "therapy" you need. Most of us do "nutty people who crave wool" pretty well.

The smell of wool in summer is the smell of victory. Unless you forget to apply deodorant, then it just smells.
