optometrist
I need to take my 12 year old son for an eye exam and was wondering if anyone can recommend a local optometrist nearby or any of the adjoining 'hoods.

When my previous doctor stopped taking my insurance I switched to Dr. Parkin. Really, nice guy. Explained everything fully, step by step. I thoroughly recommend him. -

I'm too late. But I'd like to chime in for Dr. Parkin as well. He sent me home with pictures of my retinas! And Yusef helped me pick cute glasses.

I highly rec Dr Gerald Wintrob, on 8th Ave close to Flatbush.
He's a holistic eye doctor, and at least half his patients are children- he has a great reputation for catching things that may cause problems later. He's great w kids, and has a waiting room w toys, etc.
