Late Night Coffee or Tea Place — Brooklynian

Late Night Coffee or Tea Place

Are there any decent late night coffee or tea places (12 am or later) in PH, CH or a nearby neighborhood (as far away as Park Slope or Carrol Gardens). Just not the Tea Lounge on Union, for some reason I can't stand that place though I liked the closed one on 7th ave.

  • nope.sorry to say the only place you gettin hot tea like that is in your OWN kitchen.. or that lil deli on flatbush/7th ave
  • Bah that won't work. I need someplace to sit and write for a few hours and I can't concentrate in my apartment at all.
  • You can go to The Purity diner. Or the Greek diner, both on 7th ave and open 24 hours a day
  • I think Outpost is opened pretty late on Fulton and Grand...

its not in Prospect Heights but depending on where you live its not a crazy walk
  • yeah i second the outpost. they're loosely open until 11 - which basically means if you're there earlier than that and working, they're not going to kick you out until they're done cleaning.

hmm....other than that, you could always pull up a barstool somewhere late-night.
  • Cool thanks for the suggestions. I'll definitely take a look at Outpost. I've written at Purity before but I always feel weird writing at diners, like I'm being rushed even if there's no pressure on me to leave.

I finally checked out Abigail's last night too which was nice.

I do love writing at Franklin Park and bars in general, but moneywise it adds up after awhile.
  • Cocoa bar on 7th and 3rd is open till midnite.
  • Dunkin Donuts on Flatbush and St Marks is open 24 hours too!

The crowds at DD after a certain hour gets really strange. Writing there would be a very good idea. You'd get material.
  • Its cheap too if you are worried about money!

Same (or worse) goes for the White Castle on Atlantic near Grand, near or after Midnight.

Just as Alafairnadia. :-s 8-[ :pale:
