They may have captured the animal who assaulted the elderly woman, which was caught on video and has been viewed by many outraged citizens.

We can only hope. -
i was thinking that, but the police station that they are posted at is the SVU station. that cowardly act was just a regular robbery sadly enough. i did wonder what the hell was going on while parking my car this morning..

I spoke with one of the camera guys while walking the dogs. It looks like they have a suspect in the 85 y.o.'s mugging.
-
oh wow.. damn thats good that they have somebody they are questioning !!

so what was the story at that intersection? i thought the woman who was in that video lived on the other side of eastern parkway?
-
It doesn't say where but the timing is right...

I may have misread the article about the 85-y-o's mugging, but I think the guy may have followed her to that particular building (further down at 1015 Washington) from a bank where she withdrew the $900.
So neither may be from the 1015 Washington building where the mugging took place. I recall that the 85-y-o lived elsewhere, was just visiting. So perhaps he was just following her to most convenient place to attack, and had no ties to that particular location otherwise.
If this thing at Park Place was the guy, perhaps cops were able to locate and nab him close to his home or during his daily routine (arriving at his job, or along his likely commute, wherever).
Guess we'll see what it's all about soon enough. -
This is an exclusive Brooklynian report.
I was surprised that they put such a high-profile suspect in that police building. I think they the police try to keep it low-profile. In any case, I spoke with B. M. Marcus, who has been in touch with the victim, and he said that the suspect lives on Washington, close to where the incident took place. I posted a video of his reaction here:

That building is home of the Brooklyn Robbery unit. It has a lock up in it. Along with a room for IDing a perp. Its where the big robbery cases wind up for all of Brooklyn.
