I'm confused -- where are you seeing this? It doesn't seem to be specific to Prospect Heights or the Prospect Heights board at all, unless I'm just missing something...
-
WHAT DO YOU MEAN?
-
Ha?
Somebody is-maybe?? :-k ...........................
-
Okay, since this appears to have nothing to do with the neighborhood, I'm moving it to The Lounge.

I'll bet the original poster was referring to the new "Brooklyn Back When" message board. A whole lot of the people now in there have been posting in all caps.

I am, and was. The posts were all over the front page of Brooklynian. I love all the boards I'm on too, and it sucks when they are broken, change something, or even go down. But the world, and the rest of the internet, goes on. Those posting in all caps are acting as if the world is ending - it's a tad out of control.

the brooklyn back when folks are their own community at this point, with their own mores. i find caps awful, too, but they don't, evidently, so, nu?

If you read some of the posts many of them are not used to internet forums or message boards - give em time. -

I think this is the main thing. Most of the users on that forum are a lot older and don't have much experience with computers or the Internet. They built up quite a community using only the comments section of the Daily Slope blog and have now been moved over to a new board that they don't really understand yet. We should cut them some slack while they figure things out. -
i didnt realize there is a new section. i just looked through their comments and also their posts on the blog. how cute! it's great to hear stories like them, meeting up old friends etc. haha. they remind me of my dad. he types with caps too. lol.
