  • surprise surprise, I'm going to be flaking out of this one. :(

I took a ride down to coney island today and spent forever walking around in the sun (sans sunscreen.....again), so I'm kinda cooked and exhausted.

hope ya'll have lots of fun & stuff.
  • I'm afraid that I'm gonna have to bow out on this one - sorry.

A big work out and a kiddie party this afternoon after yesterday's bar crawl have exhausted me! I can hardly keep my eyes open.

Very lame. Have a good 'un!
  • Last night's ride was great. Not only for the cool breeze, the bouncer at Franklin Park, and the sketchy people in the park bushes, but also for arches getting me hip to some ghost ride the whip.

  • Good times, good times.

Daver and whatchuwant = LAME for bailing!!!!
  • It was his fault! 8-[ he keeps me up late.
  • Playing "video games", right? ;)

Now that you're up to speed on ghost riding the whip, I think you can graduate to scraper bikes.

  • Ohhhh yeah. That really makes me want to buy an old Schwinn Stingray off craigslist. ;)
  • Damn kinda sad I missed this. But I didn't have my car, and the next day my gf had me make 3 trips to and from Greenpoint. So nanny nanny poo poo
  • 3 trips?! In a car, I hope!

You should come next time. We've got the whole thing down to a science now.

No 3 trips by bike. 30 miles of fixed gear fuckery

But yea I will keep my eyes peeled for the next one.
  • vote for Bike, Shark and Bake! (see other thread)

Yay! Come! I am the only fixed gear rider on these things.
    :D/

Oh, I should have asked: car or bike. I would have been amazed if you had taken three round trips on the G train. That would make me start banging my head against the wall.

I don't think the G train makes 3 round trips over the course of a weekend.

Do you (or anyone here) do laps in the park? I will be there Thursday.

I love riding fixed. I have a black Pake. What kind of bike do you have?

I do a couple laps occasionally, but I ride to work everyday, so that's usually enough for me. On the weekends I'm almost always down, though.

I have a weird little fixie. Its a Dahon Hon Solo.

Aside from your bmx? Or is "fixie" also slang for something, um, non-wack. You know what I mean.

BMX isn't fixie, I have a - I forgot. The tire was malfunctioning, but I think I located the pointy thingy that was giving me grief in the rim, so I can use it again.

And I have no idea of what else you are talking about.

Sorry, I phrased that wrong. I meant--You have another bike other than your bmx? Drrr...grammar.

I know. I had that happen recently. Of course, the rim tape I applied badly didn't help.

All ages are welcome to any Brooklynian event. Except if you're under 21, you will not be able to get into the bar afterward.
