Apt. or possibly studios for rent

Hi Everyone,
I live on Washington Ave at Sterling Pl. The apartment above me is being renovated into 2 studio's (I am not sure how its going to work). But it is still a 2 (or could be a three, but tight squeeze) apartment. I know the people living there before were paying $1400 a month. There is no broker involved. I would love to get some fun cool people above me. I have a dog and after a little convincing the landlords said no problem. The old tenants had cats.
It could use some fixing up, but it is a cool place in a great location with super chill (almost a little too chill sometimes) landlords.
