hola:
Patsy A Kirk Miele: thank you for your beautiful words, much appreciated.
Franny Bruno: I will be praying for your traveling grace and for all who are coming in long distance, and for all of us who are traveling, from not so far.
Peace and Grace -
Janet Horan - Please be very careful driving - 700 miles is a long way for one person to drive. I will say a prayer for a safe trip. Call me when you get a chance....
Everyone - I think I am a little jealous I am unable to attend, but hope you all have a great time (I know it will be a blast!).....
Terry - Don't worry about calling me back. I know you are overwhelmed & very busy....
Love to all!
Geri
-
Hey Geri, how is everything down there in Florida?
-
Carol, are you there?
-
Millie - How the heck are you??? I often think about the days you, Janet & me used to go out... I would love to see you again! I really wish I were able to come up to the reunion, but I was just up to NY last month & cannot afford another trip (What a shame)! You & Janet should make plans to come down to Florida & stay with me for a while (I have pleanty of room)... By the way I looked at your picture on Facebook & you look great.....
Love,
Geri
-
Lynjoy, is tina coming to the reunion?
-
Geri, I would love to come down to Florida, one day we will make plans. you will be missed.
-
Hi PATSY (Miele) Kirk -
I'm back.... (Miele just flows with the name… you’ll always be a Miele to me – guess just like I will always be a Bruno!! And in addition to calling you friend, you will always be a surrogate niece to me.
So to answer your question... and try to be brief (not my strength)
- House is going very well. We'll go back in Oct., working on the backyard 'living area'
- The area is beautiful and we are less than 1/2 mile from the Gulf (not good hurricane news; but we have the shutters and much hurricane proofing (very strick codes living on an Island)
- Someone looked at this house this afternoon for second time (but they
have a house to sell too, so that's not a sure thing)
Yes, this is new and exciting - but it is going to be a major adjustment
for me. I love my home here, and NW New Jersey - but it's time to go.
Retirees can't afford taxes in this area (as w/most of us). I also feel like I am abandoning my sister, even though I will see her more often, for longer
periods of time. I love her, and she's all I got! You know, the Italian-Catholic guilt about leaving family. I remember when I got married to
Eddie Joe in 1975 and we moved to Staten Island, my mom thought where the hell we were going. All the way over THAT BRIDGE.
So thanks for asking AGAIN... Can't wait to see you Sunday - do you still have freckles? I think Angela is coming too... I remember when she was
young she would whine alot. I'll have to tease her. Can't wait to see your entire family - this is somewhat overwhelming. Knowing me, it will
take days to recover from Sunday. Love & Hugs!
NILDA (and ALL) -
I love how we support each other and always offer prayers... For whatever that immediate need is. Thanks... Especially for my
traveling plans. I know the difficult thing for me will be to leave
at a reasonable time so I can drive before it gets dark - and I probably will want to stay. But it will work out. After all, God is orchestrating this
whole event and HE will watch over us and our day! God Bless!
And JANET HORAN needs more traveling plans than I do!!!! Go Janet! -
TERRY -
I just found out that Lucille was going to be a surprise for me at the
Reunion. The surprise almost worked (3 days short). Thanks for trying to keep it a secret. I might have had a heart-attack. When I talked to her this week she 'lied' and said she couldn't come, then I saw her name on the list). This is so overwhelming! xxx
Did you pour your glass of wine yet? I'm going to have one and go join
my husband on the deck. I suggest you do the same. Beautiful day/evening. -
emmmm.....wine sounds pretty good.
-
Meant to say that JANET needs more traveling PRAYERS, not plans.
She has her plan! Happy Trails to You! -
FRANNY,
THIS IS actually the first time i am sitting down. mike is going to the car show i have dishes and pots from cooking and eating in the sink. I left them to come in and relax for a minute. i am ok just alot of work taking care of mia especially the days in brooklyn BUT it is sure worth it when i am typing on the blog and she is standing on my back and pulling my glasses AND she sticks her head around to mine and kisses me like 3 times THAT IS WELL WORTH BEING TIRED...UNCONDITIONAL LOVE like you get from Faith. lol How is my little Faith doing??

My husband Pete said don't worry about the "shine your head " comment made by Terry, he has one of those heads too. hahaha
Pete says are you the Anthony who lived next to the candy store ? You & your brother always had nice cars (he remembers a BUICK WILDCAT ) in the garages 20th st. He lived directly across from you. Has a brother Dan. Wishes he could have his Corvette or better yet his "66" GTO back. When we watch the auctions and a GTO comes on we wish it was in our garage.
Take care, Pete & Carol -
dear fran,

Subject: Our Friends, Great Memories
Steven K
Steve, I never forgot you or your wonderful family. I have been following the blog since mid July and before your 1st post mentioned you. I was happy to see that you are doing well. Ellen Marra told me that she gave you my e-mail address when she visited your sister Cynthia. I wish you were coming to the reunion, you will be missed. Please write me at [email protected].
BTW, after all of these years, I never knew (or I forgot) that you were related to the Wozny family. Teddy is a great guy, his Mom Sophie was always in m y house. I remember a Barbara Gruska (??? lived next to the Shannons)who used to babysit for us when we were younger, her younger sister who was our age was absolutely beautiful.
Geez Steve, I remember playing hide and seek using a flashlight at night up and down 22nd street.
Joe Bebbers was the best. Your Dad and "Fat Danny" used to fight all of the time...Matty's grocery store use to break the Blue Law and open on Sunday mornings.
I can go on and on. I spoke with Anthony Umbria today for an hour, did not know he was so ill. I will visit him one day next week after the party.
It would be nice to talk with you...my phone 646-208-0310.
TO ALL OF THE FRIENDS THAT HAVE BEEN BROUGHT BACK TOGETHER:
