Photo Stolen from Bar Sepia
I am the owner of Bar Sepia. Either late Sunday or Monday, someone walked into my bar and walked out with one of our treasured photographs generously loaned by renowned photographer, Danny Clinch. To those of you who have frequented Bar Sepia, you may recall the series of lovely black and white and color photographs of Kim Gordon, Ben Harper, The Beasty Boys, Tony Bennet among others, that adorned the long brick wall. His works have added immeasurably to the ambiance of Bar Sepia. Unfortunately, someone thought it would be "kewel" to steal the photo of the late John Lee Hooker and Beck. We here at Bar Sepia have always been welcoming to all and I am outraged at this behavior. We have only once had something stolen since we opened in early 2004 and the person was so mortified that photograph was returned. Who ever has the photo, just return it, no charges will be pressed, and no questions will be asked.

Damn, that is really lame. I hope the photo gets returned.

Subject: So Very Sorry
I suspect that 98% of there public would never do anything like that. The other 2% stink. Honestly, it is sad.
I hope you get your picture back.

thank you so much. yeah, it does stink. i do agree that 98% the public has some sense of integrity. i am convinced that someone who knows me will meet, know or hear of this person and encourage them to bring it back. they will figure out it wasn't such a "kewel" idea after all. please forward this request to all you know. i'm definitely putting it out there en masse today, so, stay tuned. peace.

Or cool, either.

Shit! I LOVE that picture. Don't be a jerk.
Bring it back, so we can ALL enjoy it. -
i hate shit like this. an amazing print in the bathroom of the red cat, in chelsea, was stolen... thief broke the glass, rolled up the print, and left without anyone seeing.
shitty. -
whoa delissa, that's terrible. we can only hope that the person is embarrassed into returning it. sepia's always been the chillest spot in the neighborhood .. they should be ashamed of themselves.

That is so messed up. I'm sorry to hear that.
Howdy, Stranger!
