Met Another New Neighbor Last Night ;)

He must have forgotten his key...
-
Probably another long time resident priced out by the evil gentrifiers.
-

ahah !!!
About a year ago , at 4 am ,
I saw sumthin climbing up a fire escape ladder.
Thought it might be a prowler.
When it ran across the fire escape and leapt on to an
otherwise enclosed garbage bin it passed thru a light and i knew right away it was a coon.
Neither my wife or a coupla friends believed me.
As it happens wife saw a coon on park pl about 2 weeks ago .
Im still pretending I dont believe her though

Check to see if he put a menu under your door, or one of those locksmith cards.
-
It was TheBurgerKing!!!!
Check the avatar! I speak only the truth. -
Yeah, but does TheBurgerKing piss on peoples stoops when you use flash photography on him?
-
true, the steps do get noticably wetter.
I wonder if KWAC will write him a public urination summons.
Poor racoon couldn't even have a beer there! -
Judging from the pee, he already finished his beer and was probably hoping not to get a ticket for public intoxication.
-
I saw this guy hanging out in a tree on St. Johns Place...people were spooked! I called the police, but by the time they came, he'd already left...think he woulda been arrested??
-
I wouldn't get too close to that lil' bugger.
-
the cops are desperate, and they've now got photos.
Supreme Ian says he showed its ass: Indecent exposure.
Pee is clearly evident on the steps: Public urination
Supreme Ian is presumably the leaseholder, not the raccoon: Trespassing.
RBG says he was in a tree, and combined with the above charges, the police will assume intoxication...
If he put a menu under the door, they'll add on littering.
The raccoon is just lucky that Supreme Ian says all of this made him happy, and chose to not file a complaint. -
Looks a little like this guy I saw running around the other day:
-
I saw him too! I think he was muttering something to himself under his breath. Something like "Robble robble."
-
Be careful approaching them critters. A few years ago there was a rabid bunch running around Brower Park. I called the city about them, but they wouldn't do anything about them.

No, it's actually a legitimate part of the whole gentrification process. If you haven't noticed, the newcomers have been bringing numerous wonderful elements of their rural hometowns with them here to Brooklyn: 7-11, strip malls, Holiday Inns, "jug bands," the "Brooklyn County Fair," TORNADOES, and now raccoons! -
these guys have been leaving hot steaming turds in my garden roof right under my bed of red pepper trees. they paw my peppers, poop, and move on. ugh.
-
Pepper pawing? ...not sure this is an offense.
KWAC, can you trump this into a class E felony? -
no lie. i had a garden on my fire escape last summer. i had great looking herbs and flowers ... and then suddenly, they were eaten. my uncle is a professional landscaper/florist and when he looked at them, he said it was either a rabbit or a raccoon. i think i'm going to have to go with the latter since they had to get to the second floor. eww..
-
seriously, is there anything that works to repel them (short of getting a humane trap and calling the aspca or whatever)?
back on my folk's farm in vermont, we would just grab the rifle and wait... -

now squirrels? because they are the tops off all my nasturtiums in my window boxes. -
They kicked him out on his ass.

Be careful , Ian. They got teeth like whoa!
-
