Help - need non-emergency doctor appointment today

I felt sick yesterday and woke up today and my throat is semi swollen closed, swollen glans; fever, chills, etc. I totally have strep. I usually go to Callen-Lorde, but they don't have any appts. til tomorrow and I move this weekend so I need to get this taken care of ASAP.

Does anyone know where I can get a same day doctor appt in the city, particularly a strep test?

    You could try the walk-in clinic on E.Pkwy near Franklin -- that's where I went for my last S.throatiae infection.

    It's probably far from you but on atlantic ave and (I think) Clinton there's a walk in clinic.

    Thanks so much! I just had a friend give me a referral to a place on the UES which is out of the way but at least I will get seen today.

    You can almost always get an appointment the same day w/Dr.Lopez on the corner of Plaza St East and st.John's. We use him as our GP and like him a lot.
