Subject: pictures of the reunion
hello there, those of us who could not make the reunion would love to see some pictures if possible, sounds like a good time was had by all -
Hi.....this is Bob Horam. I am sitting here writing an endless report but need to stop to make a few comments:
1) If you see my sister Janet (the prolific one) roaming the streets of Park Slope please feed her and make sure her shoes haven't worn out. Hey, I'm a caring brother.
2) Anybody got some topical steroid for my sister Marliyn (heartbreak of psoriasis.....so she says......I think she just spilled some sauce on herself).
3) As far as Sister Georgina, the reason I still carry these mental scars is that as a little kid, I took the title literally. I thought she was actually my much older, obsese and cruel sister (like in Cinderalla). Turns out I have two really lovely, caring sisters (even though they didn't plan and implement the reunion, like some other brother's sister, I still love them).
4) Sissy......any time, any where...... -

Does anyone remember "Loads" ? They were little, white explosive things that looked like white painted splinters and you were supposed to secretly slip them into someone's cigarette.....then watch as the cigarette exploded. They sold them through ads in the backs of comic books, along with "joy buzzers" and "x-ray" glasses that you could use to see through girls clothes. Well one night, I was sitting in Felix's restaurant with several guys from the neigborhood and managed to slip one of those "Loads" into a cigarette that Billy Fox was smoking (we thought it was cool at age 13 to be smoking.....and you could smoke in a restaurant in those days). Unfortunately, the timing was bad and the cigarette exploded soon after the pizza arrived. Ever tried "Tobacco Pizza" ? I wouldn't recommend it. Not even Sister Georgina would eat it. Well, maybe she would.

I remember then, they were a blast....

Hey Bob Horan-
Did Sister Georgina ever pour copious amonts of holy water, and stomp and smack you at the same time?- She did that to me, and I wasn't even one of her students-She substituted one day for the other maniacal 7th grade nun, Sister Saint Jerome, who always asked, "Are you a Crusader of Christ?"- I never really did make that club.
Patsy- If Aunt Carol Miele tells me I'm family-I change my name. LOL
Terry-your being a pain about the denim jacket, Brian drove all the way from Montauk to be at the reunion, but ok, if you see Jamesy, give it to him, or ok we'll have dinner. -
Terry- but only if you nice to me-LOL-It would be nice to see

Cracker balls were those round colored balls that you threw and they exploded on the concrete? They were fun as were punks which never failed to burn somebody, although they did little else except stay lit and smell.

hola: it seems that many people are not writing on this thread after the reunion. i have been busy, with the Maafa.
Terry Sherman: Yes i was having a hard time getting on the thread, the last time i tried to get on, i hope this one will be easier.
Just want to say:
Marilyn &Janet Horan: it was nice meeting both of you. Janet i hope you are having fun touring brooklyn. Marilyn enjoy your retirement.
Loretta Falcon: I read that you live in Massapequa (SP) my sister has a bridal shop in Massapequa, "Bridal Reflection," they have had that business for over 25 years.
Anthony & Donna Gag: I must agree with Patsy Miele u make a beautiful couple. Anthony age is agreeing with you, (u too Donna)
Terry & Pat Gag: I am sorry we did not spend more time talking, u both look great.
Millie & Rocco Jr: Millie u look great and Rocco you are one in a million, u said u didn't know most any one but most of us knew u. Missed Clara.
Linda Joy: u are the best, nutty as ever, remember we are supposed to get together, let it not be just talk.
Carol & Pinky: now aren't u both glad u came, wasn't it a blast.
Surato Men: What can be said, it would not have been a reunion if u both had not been there. It truly was awesome seeing both of you again.
ROSA: Ralphie is a lucky man to have u and your family, God taketh but He also giveth.
Bob Horan: As i read the conversations that are going on between u and others, i could only imagine how u where growing up. You are gifted with a great sense of humor.
Jamesy & Anthony: It was great seeing the Oliva family together laughing and carrying on. U 2 are the best.
Geraldine O: I am soooooo glad u went, it's medicine for the soul. i'll be talking to u, i will be going to wendy's sunday, call me and we will get together.
Christine & Terry and the rest of the crew who organized the reunion, God has bestowed you with the gift of organizing. i will try to convey something on this thread that we do to show appreciation, it goes like this:
Good Job, Good Job (clap, clap)
Good Job, Good Job (clap, clap)
G O O D J O B
Good Job, Good Job (clap, clap)
Barbara Spencer: I don't think that we spoke at the reunion, sorry i missed u.
Roseann (from 22nd street) I hope we hear from you on this thread, lets stay in touch.
Miele Family: You guys don't loose your looks with age, keep up the good work.
bonavitas: there is not much i can say, for the exception that you are still warm, kind and caring like your parents.
Castaldos: I am glad that your mother is still alive to see what beautiful flowers you all blossomed to be. it was good seeing you.
