Biden Says Corn Syrup And Coal More Deadly Than Terrorism — Brooklynian

Biden Says Corn Syrup And Coal More Deadly Than Terrorism

Joe plagiarizer Biden is a complete moron.

~Critics have noted that Joe Biden's intelligence may be overrated; after all, it was seniority, as much as anything else, that accounted for Biden's chairmanship (he has been a Senator for decades). We know how he responded after 9/11 when he pondered how to assuage Arab anger towards America:

“Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran"

Of course, this would have only inflamed Arab anger since Iran (being a Persian nation) is the enemy of Arab nations. He should have known this basic fact. Nor does it recognize how sending hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to an enemy of America would inflame Americans.

~Gee, Hillary wasn't the only one forced down by sniper fire. Ole Joe Biden's helicopter was "forced down on the super highway of terror" only it wasn't the enemy it was snow.

~Seizing on a recent comment Biden made in Ohio that he and Obama don't support "clean coal" plants in the U.S., former Gov. Bill Owens and Scott McInnis, a former member of Congress, said the Democratic ticket owed an "explanation" to voters about where the state's energy is going to come from.

"They are coming to a state where 73 percent of the energy needs are met by coal," said McInnis during a conference call. "Coal is a very critical resource for this nation."

Immediately after Biden's comment, his campaign had tried to backpedal, saying Biden was attempting to draw a distinction between the U.S. and China's outdated technology and that the U.S. should lead by developing better clean-coal methods.

~Biden said: "When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.' Guess perky Katie was clueless here as well.

~Sen. Joe Biden was one of only five senators to vote against the first Alaskan pipeline bill in 1973.

~Joe Biden's 2007 statement that a "guy who allegedly ... drank his lunch" and drove the truck that struck and killed his first wife and daughter has gained national media traction. The senator's statements don't jibe with news and law enforcement reports from the time, which cleared driver Curtis C. Dunn, who died in 1999, of wrongdoing. "To see it coming from [Biden's] mouth, I just burst into tears," Dunn's daughter, Glasgow resident Pamela Hamill, 44, said Wednesday. "My dad was always there for us. Now we feel like we should be there for him because he's not here to defend himself."

~Biden tells a cripple to stand up.

  • eggcream you are on a roll here. two dem bashing posts in one morning. Thing is, for all their bountiful faults, nothing can compare to the disaster that is the republican party. I'd rather a veep that doesn't know his history to one that thinks being near a foreign country lends itself to foreign policy know-how. i'd rather a presidential candidate who speaks and acts intelligently to one who can only point to his time in the armed services as a viable reason for the post. At what point in our history did americans decide that the president should not be an intelligent person, but rather someone you can have a brew with? This once was the most important job in america, but somehow, somewhere along the line we forgot what government service means. Not just the gop, but dems too. It's not about lining your pockets with kickbacks, its about leading our country to greatness. ah well, to hell in a handbasket we go!

    HAHAHAHAHA.

    What, praytell is Sarah Palin?

    HAHAHAHAHA.

Oh Eggcream, I love republicans like you.
  • i will miss dick "five deferment" cheney. incompetence with an attitude.
  • It's great that Biden has an actual history relevant to the VP position that can be pillaged and distorted (and packaged for Auntie Sarah to send around in her endless email chains).
  • <cough>keating five<cough>

seriously, what's your point here? that politicians are imperfect? well, duh.

that biden is somehow a worse choice than _palin_? i have a hard time believing you really believe that. the cognitive dissonance involved would cause the average brain to overheat to potentially destructive levels.

obama vs mccain, i can sort of see going either way on, but biden vs palin? you've gotta be kidding me.
  • McCain, in 1974.

"I'm going to the Middle East," Dramesi says. "Turkey, Kuwait, Lebanon, Iran."

"Why are you going to the Middle East?" McCain asks, dismissively.

"It's a place we're probably going to have some problems," Dramesi says.

"Why? Where are you going to, John?"

    "Oh, I'm going to Rio."

"What the hell are you going to Rio for?"

McCain, a married father of three, shrugs.

"I got a better chance of getting laid."

Er, what? Where did ya leave that Delorean...?
  • Seriously... attacking Biden because he has something derrogatory to say about the man who killed his family? I applaud his restraint in not doing more than talk badly about the guy.

    Chris Rock's take on Palin:
"I saw this picture of Palin holding a bloody moose head in a headlock! Michael Vick has to be saying, "Why am I in jail!?!"

Seriously, what would happen if this lady get thrown into the presidency? I don't even want to know the answer to that. She is an absolute disaster and it's a disgrace that's she could be #2 in charge in a few months.

McCain didn't inhale on that infidelity, or something. Otherwise the Party of Amazing Virtuousness wouldn't have nominated him.

That is, unless they're hypocrites on par with certain posters around here.

It's a really sad commentary on the state of the Republican party, and McCain in particular.

Desperation makes a terrible cologne, or something.

Er, that isn't an infidelity, it's a a throwaway line from someone just returning from several years of captivity. Although you can certainly find some infidelity, if that is your thing. Dunno about any stained dresses, though...

As far as the repug nomination, there are a LOT of repugs that agree with you. Near the top of the list would be Rush Limbaugh, so's you are in good company.

    He's a maverick I tell ya! A MAVERICK!
  • What's so ridiculous about Sen. Biden's statement? He is absolutely right. More people in this country have died from such ailments as Black Lung disease from working and living near coal plants than from terrorists attacks.
It is not even a question that heart disease and diabetes kill more in this country than does terrorism. Many scientist, if not all, believe the prevalence of high fructose corn syrup in many of our products, such as soda and other foods, are partially to blame for this.

I'm sure Sarah Palin would never make a mistake like that; just look at her impressive knowledge of the history of the Supreme Court.

As for this, I suggest you read this excerpt from the independent factcheck.org

As far as your assertion Biden and Obama changing their views for political reasons, no one has changed his political policies based on this election more than McCain.

Oh yeah, when you put it _that_ way, it becomes SOO much more palatable. </sarchasm>
