Judy Giordano-Banjany: You said it perfectly, and I really appreciate it.
Patsy: Leaving Tuesday or Wednesday.
Jeanette LaGreca: No one was complaining and we did not forget what a great time we had. We are just making suggestions with the thought in mind that there may be double the amount of people there for the next reunion.
Everyone else: Please try to not read anything else into the suggestions made by others. We all had a great time and appreciate all that was done to make it happen. It would have never happened without Terry and Christina. So, some would just like to help with getting ideas for the next one. Doing so does not take away or diminish all the great stuff done by the girls. -
u there Carol??? Miss seeing or talking to you daily, lol. I better take you back to NC with me. (Don't tell Peter I said that) Yikes !!!!!
-
Subject: ok
EVERYONE ........... AND TERRY & CHRISTINA
I was sick all day, when I felt better I went on the site. VERY INTERESTING READING MATERIAL TONITE GUYS.
The beginning stages of the survey seems to be NO FORMAL PLACE OR ATTIRE. Everyone wants that including Christina GREAT !!
The food from 9-21-08 was excellant, can we add panelle's LOL
No one should get bent out of shape. EVERYTHING was WONDERFUL on 9-21-08. I am curious so I have to ask, is it sooooo bad that someone or anyone was so moved & excited due to the reunion that they have idea's to put on the table ? Example: It could have been Why hot dogs, we have plenty of food.
Why penny candies.
Why egg creams, why not milk shakes. But for me they were a FANTASTIC addition. By the way I did not have any candy, any egg cream or dirty dogs (TERRY ATE ALL THE DOGS )
I think a simple hall is not a bad idea with air conditioning but I also think outdoors was nice also. So there might not be a dance floor, maybe a singer for 1 hour who can do the St. John's feast music, pull us together in song. It's just idea's from excited people. 9-21-08 WAS EXCITING
What ever may be, the point I am making is what you gave everyone & you should go back to that TEAMWORK - you two wonderful people should be in contact sharing, discussing & fighting (only kidding !!!)
Forget the word recruit (as in people for the reunion) Just as Dan Lovaglio told me about the site & encouraged us to attend 9-21-08 so have people connected to others "they know " to join in the neighborhoods bond we have with its people & memories.
I will end with Franny Bruno's words: I post with Love & good intentions.
I will add the word gratitude to "the team" Carol Lovaglio :-# -

Good Morning All!
Terry--Just last week we were talking about how the site was getting a litle boring, no one really had much to say.
Well, all I can say is, 'Your wish came true.' It's alive again, it's alive.
Fran -

Terry & Christina - Both of you did a beautiful job getting the neighborhood together again. EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE loved it and had a great time. It was SIMPLE but POWERFUL! When you saw people seeing each other again. Great food, great crowd.
Loretta - I believe you had mentioned Antoinette & JoJo. Antoinette and I went to school together. Her younger brother JoJo went to school with my brother Peter. For the life of me, I can't remember the last name.
What is your brother Michael doing?? -
Ralph...
I love the idea of a reunion for our crowd and the older generation. I'd gladly help with emailsexcept I don't know the addresses of anyone!?!
Sal -
SALLY EARS & RALPHIE,
If you need any email address for your group reunion, give me an email I may have what you need.
Otherwise, post a message on this blog, put your email address in, and have your friends email you. Than once you have their email address, you can get their address and phone numbers.
Love,
Christina -
PATSY,
What are you cooking tonight.
Let's not forget that Francesca Bruno Saracino wants to do a neighborhood cookbook. Festina Guzzo has some knowledge (she emailed me) and said she was working on a book and perhaps could lend a helping hand, especially with the graphics, etc. She has a marvelous talent. I'm waiting for her to post her website. Come on Festina, don't be shy! -
BOB, MARILYN & JANET,
Your ideas are wonderful and well worth exploring. We will look into the best options for the party next year. One that will please everyone once again.
I've already placed a call to the neighboring Yacht Club. I don't know if they allow non-members. Looks like you could do inside or outside. If anyone else has a place in mind, let me know. I'll get some prices.
Love,
Christina -

LOVE AUNT JEANETTE -
Bob Horan: You'll be wearing something "hot" at the next reunion because I'm going to set your ass on fire. I remember those "Loads" that people would slip into somebody's cigarette butt and watch it explode. Well I have the biggest "Loads" in the world and guess where I'm going to slip it.
Sissy Lauterbach -
Hi Dan - I can't remember Antoinette & JoJo's last qame either. I even asked my Mom, but all she remembered is that she "thinks" it started with the letter S.
My brother Mike is still in Brooklyn. He's a projects manager for commercial construction. Married with 3 kids. The youngest, my godson Michael (what else) came back this spring after two tours in Irag with the 81st Airborne. We are all very grateful that he came back safe.
To Anthony Umbria - Anthony, I need a favor. We are having a surprise 75th birthday party for my mother and I'd like to invite Aunt Joanann, Jason & Liz. Unfortunately, I don't have their phone numbers and if I ask my Mom, she is sure to be suspicious. Is there any way you can e-mail Joanann's phone number? My e-mail address is bklynl@optonline. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!!
Loretta -
Carol DL: You are the most sensible, well spoken, "together" person.
To those who asked about my wife's birthday, thanks. No heavy metal (she's not a fan). The night before her bday, we went out (the two of us) to a great Mexican restaurant here in Ronkonkoma......worth the trip out here. Unfortunately, I had a heavy-duty "interview" with a congressional investigator on her birthday but on Friday night we celebrated Arlene's birthday again with my son, his girlfriend Alice (who shares Arlene's birthday), sister Marilyn, her husband Frank and one of Arlene's former co-workers. This was at Canterbury's in Oyster Bay......another great place for dinner and a wide range of beers/ ales. -
BOB HORAN,
Well said, about Carol Lovaglio. She is amazing. Is it too late to vote for her for President?
Hope all is well with you. I still get a kick out of all you write. I wish some more of our dear old friends would come back as we were on the original blog. I knew at some point we would run out of the obvious memories, but it is still nice to hear from our friends.
Have a wonderful day, Bob. -
Christina - how does one get involved with this cookbook? I have some pretty good receipes myself.
-
Chrissy "O" H: About "running out of memories", my thought is that a reunion like we just had is the starting point for people to connect again and start making new memories. Hope I didn't sound like a Hallmark card there. I just mean that I tend to focus on the present and I am looking forward to meeting up with some more people from our past and sharing the enjoyment of the 21st Century.
About Carol, it may be too late to nominate her for 2008.....but there are more elections coming along. -

No - my late husband's family was from Bayside, Queens. In fact, when we were first dating, Brooklyn was like a foreign country to him! Brooklyn girls were exotic...
I just spoke with my brother & I gave him this site. Hope he can find it!
Loretta -
DAN LOVAGLIO,
Francesca Bruno Saracino had the great idea to make a cookbook. She is going to try and put something together. I thought if we did get it together, we could have them for the next reunion.
Tell me some receipes you have. Do you cook yourself?
FRANNY, how do you want us to get receipes to you? Via Blog or Via Email? -
BOB HORAN,
As far as memories go, yes, we do have many new memories to make with our friends. I was referring to all the old memories, the stores, the rides, etc. from the past.
So glad we're all connecting and having dinner with each other etc.
Howdy, Stranger!
