Terry ..... Ahhhhhhhh the smell of Christmas Trees on 5th. What better aroma. Do you realize that your sense of smell brings back more memories than anything else. I remember you bringing me a real wreath some years back when I wasn"t feeling too good. Boy it's almost as good as xanax!I suggest at the next reunion we cover the floor with pine needles, have Germains grilling Hot Dogs ( but also dirty water ones)and a pizza stand selling Lenny's Pizza. Now if we could get the guy that walked along the beach at Coney Island yelling " Get your ice cream, cold drinks and knishes " we'd be in Park slope Heaven. You know this is only the crazy dreaming of a crazy Broad. xxxxooooo
Carol D L..... You are so right. If you find a good Jelly donut send me half. Todays donuts are dry and you need to take 4 or 5 bites before you find the jelly. When you do its bright RED! -
Debbie Brodbeck, smells do bring back memories. Most of the are good.
I like the idea of needles on the floor. lol.

Hello Park Slope
FESTINA - your artwork is beautiful. You are truly gifted. I'm looking for some hand-painted Tuscany wall art for my house in Venice. When I move, I'm taking you with me; you can live at the beach and drink good wine. Bravo!
Hi Christina, thanks for sharing Festina's work. -
HI TERRY and NILDA
Ralph and I have communicated via email without a problem. His address is in caps: [email protected]
I think when it was first posted here, it was written in lowercase. Guess it
matters here; not sure. (I am on yahoo, but don't think that should make a difference.) Hope this helps. -
DEBBIE BROADBECK -
re: emails
I notice Terry said at one point you didn't get any of her emails. Have you received any from me over the past week or so? Love & Blessings! -
Anthony Umbria
As you did find out his name was Jimmy Few Hairs. He came to my house many a Sunday morning to eat my mothers fried meatballs before she put them in the gravy. -
HEY TONY MEI
THAYS WHAT UNCLE ALAN SAID HE DID AT MY GRANDFATHERS HOUSE ALSO THATS FUNNY
ANTHONY -
Do you folks remember "Dee Dee's" discount store ? I guess my "recipe" involving Aunt Helen and Terry mentioning smell of Christmas tree brought this story to mind. The first Christmas after Arlene and I were married and were living together at 352 20th Street, Aunt Helen bought us a Santa Claus ornament for the top of the tree. His face was surrounded by lights. Luckily I tested the ornament before putting it on the tree.....because it immediately burst into flames. Santa Claus' beard went on fire. Potential disaster at a bargain price. This is obviously not an advertisement for Dee Dee's.

I REMEMBER ONCE MY AUNT ROSEMARIE SLAPED ME AND YOUR MOM TOLD HER OFF SAYING DONT EVER HIT HIM IN THE FACE WHEN I AM AROUND -
Debbie: Hate to burst your bubble about the good old days when jelly in donuts wasn't bright red. At least today's food colorings are tested to insure they are not toxic or carcinogenic. As kids, we lived in a world of potentially toxic chemicals that people were not aware of at the time. There are various reasons people live longer today. Just think. When we were kids, the power companies were dumping old transformer parts into the rivers and sea with carcinogenic PCBs that wound up in the fish etc. Asbestos - and some of our relatives and friends worked in industries where they were exposed daily. I have seen the lungs (up close at autopsy) of people who died from mesotheliomoa due to asbestos. And, of course, the biggest danger of all was from the cigarette companies who even then knew they caused cancer and other diseases and lied through their teeth about how they were safe as we 13 year olds lit up and became addicted and started destroying our lungs. Sorry, but I'll take the bright red jelly in the donut (and throw the rest of the donut out because it is full of fat......maybe even trans fats that we knew nothing about back then).

Im just testing to see if I can get on!

HELLO - On behalf of RALPHIE SUARATO
Please be patient with his email response, especially if you are on aol. I just received this message from him:
"It seems I am not receiving any E-Mail from aol senders. Don't know what the problem can be. Received from everyone else. I can send to aol but can't receive. If you can help I would appreciate it."
I will do my best to help him...
ANYONE OUT THERE FOR TECH SUPPORT? Any suggestions to help Ralph?
Ralph, if you are out there reading - I'm putting on my 'geek squad outfit' including a Bell Labs' pencil protector for my pocket - and I'll get to work on it.
 -
Whoever is not recieving aol emails, may have accidentally blocked the aol domain name.
