    ...as expected.

The LES had a lot of places until the mid-90's. Now only a few good, genuine places survive. Russ and Daughters in LES. Murray's on UWS.

you'd be amazed the places I've had to bring food home from.

Me: pronouncing food wrong. Starting conversation with "I've been sent to get..."

shopkeeper: shakes head, sells it to me anyway.
  • well, at least in out of the way places (not russ or murrays, but places in bburg) they will sell to you without blinking.as a non orthodox woman, i'm often ignored. (and have been close to walking out of the door with my unpaid food.... not in lubavitch territory, but elsewhere)
  • Thank the lord its almpst time to eat again, will break the fast with some Sauteed Swiss Chard and Garlic followed by a home made Bolognese that i manage to cook yesterday before sun down and intead of eating it with pasta i will mixed it with Safron rice!
  • I have procured curry veggies from The Islands (washington ave) in anticipation of a starving mrs.
  • dang, can i come over? i have a lovely lemony red-lentil soup on the stove that i can bring.

You're a good husband. You're making my Papi Chulo look bad, lol!
  • I was threatened! I was told that while she was being a GJ, i'd better have food ready for her when she arrived.

I can play the answering machine msg for you if you want
  • i believe you. i'd say you found yourself one smart cookie
  • ....shhh, don't tell her about hula girl.
  • so long as you don't tell bigguy about the southside coffee guys
  • damn, WUW is willing to meet you there just on your word that they are cute.

...this may say more about her than you. ( I couldn't resist, wuw).
  • nah, WUW knows me and likely trusts my taste
  • your secrets are safe with me.

Chabad is going to be so psych'd that their thread might get a second page, too bad they can't read it until tomorrow.
  • Now i am pretty full, the meal was excellent, i dug into it like a fly on a turd. Now going out for a couple of Brews and a couple of shots at Soda, i will try not to sin s much as i did this past year!!

  • Dog Turd Soup.

    Fun for the whole family.
  • Oh wow- now THAT'S fucking gross. What kid would actually eat that "shit"?

Sneaky, of course, but who else?
  • hahahahah!!! I am thinking of making myself a burger right now, fucking starving after a night of Jever and Corazon Añejo!!It was fun but then it got really cold and was at a roof party!! It got fucking cold, now i am hungry!
  • my dog loves hamburger, so if he ate this soup we could create a closed loop system ...possibly a perpetual motion machine.
  • i make the best burger, i mince, onions, tomato´s, green peeper, garlic , then i mixed all of the above in the meat, adding salt, black pepper, a bit of curry powder, minced dried ancho chile´s and mix again, heat up olive oil, throw in the pan, medium, then i saute Onions till they are brown and tender, raisin bread from Union Square Market and right into my belly!
