JUDY,
I just watched u tube. I thought that was Margie on 20th street with her pillow whistling for me. How true that was I could hear my Moms whistle a mile away.
Stick ball and punch ball WOW!!!! Remember when the ball would go down the sewer we would take our bazooka gum out of our mouth stick it on the stick and try to get the ball out of the sewer pushing down on the ball and yep!!!! we would get that dam ball out so we did not have to buy another one. It was cheaper to buy a bazooka and chew and stick it on the stick..LOL
AH!!!!! Thanks for some more great memories. Love Terry Angelo -
ITS GREAT FOR FRIED CALAMARI

DEBBIE BRODBECK SICIARGO: Thanks, I use Frank's Red Hot for Buffalo Wings. It used to be Durkee's Red Hot, but it was sold and now it is Frank's. It seems that they left something out of the recipe since it is not the same. I melt butter and add the sauce and it make the best buffalo wings.
Thanks for the tips on the sauce. Terry made me hungry one week about making sauce, so now I am going to try to make sauce every other week and let it cook all day like I used to do. I will skip dipping the bread in the sauce though, but I do remember doing that as a kid. -
Are you online Carol or Bob or Marilyn ???? I am going to sleep very soon since I am taking all the grandkids to school in the am and one has to be in by 7am.

Marilyn
Just missed Janet, It's amazing I miss her by seconds constantly.
How was your weekend -
Carol--My weekend was good. And yours? I just asked you to be my friend on Facebook.
-
I guess I missed you by minutes, too, Carol. Anyway be my friend!
-
Hi Marilyn
I just confirmed FRIENDS. Your in my photo's & the great flowers too ! -
MARILYN - had a nice weekend, went to the Seaport, same way I went with Jan. & Mil. Water Taxi - Ikea store.
I went with the 2 Pete's & we LOVED the Cuban Restaurant there. HEAR THAT MILDRED !!!! LOL It was jammed with people but the weather was beautiful. -
Carol, glad you picked up on the joke about many having a crush on me lol.
O well, we missed the Cubana Restaurant, I still have their toothpicks I took from the jar. Let me know when you want to run again, I will try to make it. -
I wrote about my sister beating up one of the midget clowns at steeple chase. Marie Crispino was defending my other sister Ann. She twisted her bag around her hand and beat him for making Ann cry, as the crowd laughed and cheered her on. We laugh about that story still today.
If anyone is in Brooklyn, 69th Street and New Utrect Ave, is a store called Canoli's Plus. Fabulous, Buy bags of canoli cream and shells fill your own. Leave in freezer until you need them, shells last 2 months in closet, you can refreeze cream. But trust me they won't last that long. They have everything. I had relatives over in between Church and reception; for my nieces wedding. I bought Sfoglitelli's(raw) put in oven bake until golden. Didn't even hit the table was eaten hot. They have pignoli cookies, 7 layer too. Pastachote (?) everything is delicious. My nephew works in Edison, his co-worker brought them in. I travel from Jackson,NJ for them; while there I go to Faicco's with a cooler and get all kinds of sausage, and maybe visit someone while I'm there lol. Not that things here are not good. We got cookies from Brooklyn bakeries Mona Lisa used to sell here. bread from S.I. Shope Rite Sausage is good. And we also have a pork store that is quite good Tuscany at Romeo's Plasa. Brooklyn came to Jackson. Giani's had the best St. Joseph's now they moved to brick under a new name. All this is great but there is something about Canoli Plus that's better, I think it's the location. Try it, you'll love it. Holtermann's is very good, but nothing compares to Italian Bakery. Santina
