    FOR YOU BARBARA
    Thanks Patsy: I needed that!
  • WE'RE HERE FOR YOU BARBARA. TERRY CALL ME LATER IF YOU STILL NEED HELP WITH THE PHOTOBUCKET. I WILL GO STEP BY STEP ON THE COMPUTER WITH YOU. IT IS REALLY EASY ONCE YOU LEARN LOVE YA :)
  • YOU'RE WELCOME BARBARA. NO ONE'S CHILD IS PERFECT. WE ALL HAVE SOME BAGGAGE, JUST UNFORTUNATELY, SOME HAVE MORE THAN OTHERS :)
  • MILLIE SUICIDE MOUNTAIN FOR SLEIGHING AND ROLLING DOWN TIL YOUR CLOTHES WERE SO FILTHY. THOSE DAYS WERE THE BEST. NICE INNOCENT FUN:)
  • Hello Eveyone -

Hope you survived yesterday's awful weather. What made it worse is we lost electricity for 7 hours. And then no water about 5:30pm (have a well).
It was a cold, long day/night. Brrrr.

    Barbara (and All) -

This can be a safe place to fall and we will will not judge! None of us is perfect. We're here to offer love, support and prayers. I hope you find strength to get through each day and guidance from above! There's some
great advice here on the Site from your friends; hope you take it.

We never know what's going on with the person next to us. We may think that they have a great life, no problems, etc. But everyone has some shit to deal with in their lives. Especially these times in this world, it is scary!
So you are not alone - be not afraid!

I read a great book along time ago that started me on a journey to a new life, "The Road Less Traveled" The first words in the book - 'Life is difficult.' Well isn't that the truth? There's always a lesson to be learned and I hope you get through this lesson as 'peacefully' and quickly as possible.

Pray that God hears what is in your heart, and that you let HIM take over for you!!!

    Love,
    Francesca

Thanks so much Fran (and all of you) for your encouraging words. I may pick up that book. My heart is broken right now but I just keep hoping and praying things will change soon. Life is too short and I don't want it to be too late when my daugther finally realizes how she has hurt the ones that love her. Believe me I have reached out to her many times but she is not ready. I just hope that one day she is. Thanks again all.

Just to keep things a little cheerier, I was wondering how many people remember there old Brooklyn phone number? Mine was SOuth 8-8118.

Ill post it again if you want ....lol....problems seem worse at night...thats usually when anxiety takes over....try to block out all your troubles at night ...and try to get a good nights sleep...believe it or not....in the morning ...when you see the sunshine....your troubles look alot less and your much more refreshed to handle whatever life is about to throw at you....you have to go with the flow however hard it may be....ohhh and shedding a tear always helps. If you need to talk ...dont ever hesitate to find me or any one of us.... :flower:
Thanks Suzie. I certainly know about shedding tears but I don't know if it makes it better or worse. My problem is trying to hold them back like when I'm at work or in public. Just thinking about the situation makes my eyes well-up .....even now. Thank God for my son. He keeps me going.

Barb....if you are welling up right now....then darnit CRY ....Im telling you you'll feel a whole lot better.....if your at work ....go to the ladies room for a few minutes and let it out......and the best of all....if your out in Public....and you see some nut walking towards you .....really CRY out load! It will scare the crap out of him....and.. you'll still feel better....LOL
I dont know your situation exactly....but if you can talk to your Daughter and tell her how you feel.....somewhere in her head ...your words will stick!
You will always know....that you tried!

p.s. jump right into this forum....and tell us to shut the heck up ...you need to vent.....LOL

  • I THINK OURS WAS SO 8 4217 I'M ALMOST SURE THAT WAS IT. WOW, THAT WAS NICE TO REMEMBER THANX :)
  • Hi Suzie

I'm still catching up on some reading. Bless You for the work you do and the story of the woman you visited in the hospital after the call (hope I got that straight; it was a few days ago).

What got me was your comment about the 100 stitches in your face. There are some great healing words from great literate works  like
"The Velveteen Rabbit" (about being REAL) and "The Little Prince" (about what is seen by the eye)... and there is also a similar, relevant bible parable (also about what is seen by the eye)....

However, my long-term memory is shut down today; but I wanted to mention this to you and say that I know how this feels (somewhat) because I too had stitches on my face and nose. While they weren't 100, I've had to have major reconstruction and had to "rebuild." That's how I spent my 50th Birthday years ago. (Most mark it with a special birthday party.) It really is too gross to describe what they did and fortunately it was a great plastic surgeon, or it could have be worse. Some days I hate it and want to put a bag on my head; other days I don't even see it - or just don't care. And now that I am a 5-Year Breast Cancer Surviver, the face is insignificant.

My intention was to share a similar situation, say I understand, and say you are beautiful.

And I can't wait to come FACE-TO-FACE with you at the next reunion.

    Love,
    Francesca

    P. S. On a lighter note, after the surgery I said to the Doc, if I knew you were going to be doing all this work in there I would have had you do a nose job at the same time. He replied "yes, I noticed your nose is a little crooked, but we had more important things to do. (A nose job would have been nice...)
  • Barbara - did you put my message in two reply 'boxes' from you? Says "Francesca Wrote"

Then there is no message from you... Just my original message.

I'm asking cause that happened a few days ago with a message from Carol Castaldo. Wondering if I am missing something.

Ohhhh Great! Now Im freakin .... crying! LOL
Thank you so much Fran for that....there was a moral to that story...in my mind. I was looking at this beautiful young girl ....so cut up....her fingers were cut off ....but miraculously re-attached ...her lungs were both punctured ....and her face cut up....but she lived....those scars didnt mean a damn thing to her family that were crying outside....they just wanted HER to make it ....no matter what she looked like.....it woke me up real fast......and I must say the words that you right ....you are so beautiful!

Iam so glad I have met all of you ....for the 1st time or again!

  • Hi TeTe....
I don't know... And don't remember what happened to them. I met Patty through Carol, and we were friends for awhile. Carol would recall better.

I remember sitting in the window of her house (it was like a brownstone).
And I recall something about her father being very strict (I don't have warm, fuzzy feelings thinking back to him for some reason). The song
that I recall during that time - and makes me think of her - was that
crazy song.. "They're coming to take me away ha ha, to the funny farm, where life is beautiful all the time. And I'll be......."

Weird, not sure why I remember that stupid song... But at least I remembere Patty, she was a wonderful person and I can still see her face very clearly.

Hey MILLIE -- at least you had a better song from me "A Little Bit of Soul"

    Got to go mange... Ciao....
