  • For all that know Billy Fox, he is doing much better after his stroke and is taking computer classes at Kingsboro. He will be at the next reunion, and possibly his sister Pat.

This evenings Lesson #2: Refreshing Your Computer

You don't need to go back out. If you are reading the posts and someone writes in, you will not see it in real time.

To avoid going out and coming back in, just click your REFRESH button. Mine is right on top toolbar and it is two arrows pointing vertically and
going in different directions. They are green

(I am working off a Dell Laptop). Your Refresh symbol might look different, and there may be one on your lower tool bar.

Now, as an example - someone else might be responding to you regarding this question and I don't know. Your message is the last before me. By
time I hit submit, there can be three new posts. Ok... Good Night!!!!

My turn to 'let the dogs out' Brrrr...
  • Photobucket

You shpuld be able to see the 2 tabs under the pad. A right click and a left click. That is what I meant, lol.
  • Fran- there were a lot of roof top pigeon coops in the area, I know, spent a lot of time looking up and down. What were some of the names, uncles etc. We did live upstairs same building 599 6th Ave. I can't recall DeMaeo, but the minister thing does ring a bell, I'll ask Peter. Peter is doing well, he moved here to Old Bridge the year after Ellen and I in 86, he lives about five blocks from us, also has 5 grandchildren. Ellen is still working at East Brunswick HS and is doing well also. Thanks for asking Fran. I have some old class pictures from 146, but nothing from the bank, I'd love to see them one day.
  • Photobucket

Trying to find a better picture that clearly shows the two tabs below the pad, lol
  • Lynda Joy Russo (you'll always be a JOY to me).

It wasn't you.. You are a bright star... The 'copy' option wasn't available to us for some reason. Good thing I multi-task when I'm on this site; I would not get anything done. I can't believe how late it is... And I got
to get up early for blood work, my favorite thing. I try not to pass out.

I sent you an email earlier today - - - to acknowledge your son and
    send my thanks!

    Love to you......

    GOOD NIGHT TO ALL

  • Fran, the refresh button worked fine. Thank You, Good Night
  • On a laptop, you've got another option. MacSupport points out this simple method of using a "two-finger tap" in place of a right click. To set things up, follow these steps.

In the Keyboard & Mouse preference pane, select "Trackpad Gestures" under the Trackpad section. From there, select "Tap trackpad using two fingers for secondary click" and you're all set. Now, tapping the trackpad with two fingers will execute a right click.

  • PAUL

The command F5 is also a way to refresh.

Thats an F and the number 5 (five)
  • Paul

It is so funny you say that.... There may be a reason why. We were both products of Public School Experimentation Project

I have a very special memory of Mrs. Spellman. I hope Peter remembers this. We were in a special program at PS 146 as experimental group of
children. I spoke to Lucille DeCanio about this briefly, and she remembered it. We had the same teacher throughout those three years
as you said. And we were taken off the traditional readers and participated in Individualized Learning & Reading Programs. This was
very progressive for the 50's. We sat in groups vs. traditional seating
(that was not standard in those days). We learned a language (Spanish)
and we were taught Algebra. People are saying what is the big deal, but
this was in the 50's. And we were in the 3rd grade when this started.

I've actually looked on line to see if there was a study. I'm sure they were
testing the way of education for the future. I remember we were special to be able to stay with most of the same students and the same teacher,
Mrs. Spellman. Others previous teachers were Miss Weiner, Miss Schwindt, Mrs Winters.

Please ask Peter if he remembers any of this or am I haullucinating from
lack of sleep. I remember him coming to class with crisp, starched shirts.
Him and Kenneth Tanzillo was the sweetest young men, and that's an observation form a 7-year old's point of view via a 56 Year Old Woman!

Bottom line - YOUR PARENTS (GIGLIO'S AND TANZILLO'S) DID A GREAT JOB RAISING THEIR CHILDREN.. Another point of view from the 56 Year Old Woman. And I am glad I was able to see this for myself
    40 Years later.

    Good Night!
  • Fran, your probably sleeping and thats where I'm headed next but yes I do remember. Are you kidding, when I talk to my brother Peter thats all I ever hear, special class, only ones to ever do it, etc. etc.. I always tease him with this story, Mrs. Spellman wanted to do this experimental class the year before you guys (and that would have been my class) but she could not get authorization and so on and so on. LOL
There was also a test , if you remember, for advanced placement or something like that, where if you graded well you went to 51's instead of 10's and did 3 years in two, I think Gerard Byno went, we passed but did'nt
want to go where we did'nt know anybody. I should have went, because after that all hell broke loose and I never really showed up at 10's or got much schooling after that. Anyway Goodnight all. After boring everyone else to death.
