  • FRAN,
I am so sorry for your loss. love Terry
This has been a very bad week for a lot of people.
  • b]Fran[/b]

I am so sorry to hear about you having to put your precious Pet to sleep.
I am a pet-parent and have been my entire adult life. I know what joy and companionship they bring to our lives, and the loss is unbelievable.
Not everyone understands that it is just as awful as loosing a family member. They are family!

As hard as it might be, it was the right thing to do. It is part of our responsibility to enable our 'babies' to go with as much dignity as possible, and not to suffer. She'll always be by your side. What is her name?

I'm sure she's looking down on your entire family and saying "Thank you mommy and all, for giving me the best life possible. And I will be with you again someday! Until then, my spirit is all around you."

Fran, my heart breaks for you and your family; I've been there too many times. I try to find peace knowing I gave them (as you did) the best life! We can't replace them. They take a big piece of our hearts with them... And leave a big hole. Some may think I'm over-reacting but I don't care. Dogs Rule!

Do you know about the Rainbow Bridge? Please send me an email:
    [email protected]

I have somethings I'd like to send you. I know I will internalize 'your loss' because animals (especially my two angels with fur who are getting
old), are my heart; so I know how you feel. I know how you hurt.

    Love, Peace & Healing,
    Francesca
  • "The Rainbow Bridge"

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge,
there is a land of meadows,
hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather.
The old and frail animals are young again.
Those who are maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing:
They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth.
So, each day they run and play until the day comes
    when one suddenly looks up!
The nose twitches. The ears are up. The eyes are staring.
And this one suddenly runs from the group.

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again and again, and
you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated!

    God Bless,
    Francesca
  • JANET YOUR GRANDCHILDREN ARE BEAUTIFUL :) THEY LOOK LIKE YOU.
DO THEY LIVE UP IN NC TOO?
  • FRAN,
Some people do not understand the love for our little animals, our little family. When I babysit in bklyn I babysit for the baby and little butchie.( 2 teeth left)lol (my little butchie only 2 teeth) I am a nut. When the kids were small I would check the crib to see if they were breathing. Sometimes I would practically climb in until I woke them up.LOL I am a worrier. I find myself when I am in bklyn with the baby and the dog I go over to the both of them when they are sleeping and make sure they are breathing. He is my little baby also. People who do not have animals do not understand. Just wanted to let u know I was thinking of you and your loss. love terry
  • OH FRANNY THAT IS BEAUTIFUL LOVE TERRY :cry::cry:
  • Frances La Greca: In the past 2 years, I had too put my old Golden Retriever Otis, stroke and couldn't get up off floor for over 6 months and my baby Billy (lab/mix) Cancerous lump on jaw, to sleep. My 17year old cat died and another cat, my Kiki, died suddenly. The suddenly killed me the most since I had months to prepare for the dogs and expected the older cat to die soon, but not my Kiki. Believe me, I am still tormenting myself.
I am down to 2 dogs and 2 cats. I have to try to stop getting new ones. I think I am going back to being a cat person, but I do want a dog, lol.

Losing a pet is rough and I truly feel for you and the kids as well.
  • Patsy: Yes, they all live here and I am taking them trick or treating after school tomorrow. The best part is that I can get to keep them out late so we can get a lot of candy, yum yum. No school the next day, yrah!!!!! I am getting dressed also.
  • Where is Suzie already ??????
  • Fran L Greca - I am so sorry for your loss. I am a animal lover too & can feel your pain… God Bless you and your family…. [-o<

Franny Bruno - I just love your compassion. The poem was beautiful...You are a very special person & I am sorry I never knew when you hung out with my cousins.

Anthony Umbria - I just love the U-tube video… So true, women is smarter then man…. :^o

Janet - I love that picture of you & the kids….
  • My son used to laugh at me and make fun of me because on the way up the road, I would speak to or yell at all the dogs I saw out in the road. I'd say something like "get out of the road and go home. Do you want to get hurt by these crazy drivers?" I realized that I spoke to all the animals I saw, lol. Losing my mind up on the mountain for sure.
