I've always heard about it for steaks in an unusual, very old school (no, even older than that) ambiance. But I don't know anyone who's ventured in this decade . . .

Are you interested in old, authentic Brooklyn atmosphere? Well, here is your place. Do you like Bud Light? this is your place. Do you want edible food.....uhm, try somewhere else. -
Last I went, there were two kinds of wine - red and white, and both were self-serve from the fridge. I also had the best pork chop of my life.

Meat (steaks and chops) are excellent but quite expensive. Pasta - I linguine w/ calamari al arrabiata (spicy) is also great but not so expensive. Yes, worth the trip, but if two people are going I'd suggest sharing a steak and a pasta to keep the cost down. -

2 Toms is excellent and very, very old school Italian. It doesn't feel like it has a mafia past; it feels like it has a low-level soldier-in-the-mafia present. The food, though, is excellent.
Really? that has not been my experience at all. I agree, the pork chop was pretty good. I am italian so maybe my standards for Italian food is higher, but I just don't like that 1950s American/Itlaian style heavy sauce with lots of paste. But the atmosphere is definitely a step into the past so for that, it seems worth one visit (if you don't mind all the regulars staring at you). -

Two Toms is awesome. The food is great and the atmosphere is part of the charm. It is old school, but very fun and awesome chops and steaks. -

I am Italian too and have been there for dinner with my very italian godparents who swear by the place. I found the food to be very good. Took my best friend there for dinner with a bunch of people and we all enjoyed it. The atmosphere is quite lacking-LOL-and the wine selection is zilch-but the food is good. -

Subject: HUGE portions
Definitely get the PORK CHOPS and the RAVIOLI. The BAKED CLAMS were great, too. The T-Bone Steak and the FILET MIGNON were gigantic portions. Just keep in mind that this place offers no menus and no dessert. Therefore, NO PRICE TAGS. I do know that 1/2 a carafe of white wine was around 8 bucks. Also --- for two --- we had 12 clams, 8 ravioli and a HUGE and JUICY Pork Chop with peppers for $42 bucks. THAT's UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Think of it as your old (joking nickname for Italian, most start with a g) friend who cooks at home and has tables in the rec room downstairs. It's fun, and a taste of what that little Italian section of Brooklyn was years ago, before all the pretentious bs.
Tony Soprano might not eat there. Paulie Walnuts, perhaps. Bobby Baccala, most definitely, with seconds.
GET THE PORK CHOPS. Never had better in my New York City life. -
Just know, the prices there add up in a hurry. Also, the portions are so huge, it would be a mistake for each person to get their own entree. I went with a group of 7 and somehow our bill came to $300 and half of what we ordered was still on the table when we left - just too much food.

Went there last week with a group of 10. $55 bucks a person (45 + tip) which included all of the wine you can drink (which we took great advantage of -- hell, they kept bringing it to our table -- we probably went through 12 or 14 carafes). The best thing was the pork chop. Avoid the veal and the seafood pasta. Stick with the simple stuff. Bring your sunglasses because the place is well lit.
