Annoying Logout Problem Magically Disappears

I haven't had the "annoying logout" problem for about a week now. Here are some things I did recently that may have had an effect:

1. Upgrade Mozilla. I am using Firefox version 1.0.4
**2. Firewall: I use ZoneAlarm, and I added Daily Heights IP (67.18.234.196) as a "trusted zone" (Click Firewall tab, Click Add>> Host/Site)
3. Something else that I can't remember right now.

  • Quick... dailyheights, my Indian brother -- you have a birthday cake on your head!
  • i just had this problem twice trying to post this. i'm on IE.
  • Dagnabbit... I must look into this as I have experienced the mysterious logout force upon my warning you of the birthday cake on your head!
  • Guest & Guest = the green capeless crusader... Me, Park Man. I am mysteriously being logged out when attempting to submit a reply; especially those warning you about the birthday cake on your head.
  • That's the Birthday Cake Filter bug, which is a separate issue entirely. I have a team of Tamil tea pickers sorting through lines of code as we speak.
  • My forced logout problem seems to have resolved.

One tip that was maybe too obvious for people to say: set your browser to login automatically. Because of my intrinsic paranoia, I usually instinctively set my browser to NOT automatically logon to sites, and it hadn't even occurred to me that this might be the problem. It was, though.
  • fixed for me too -- although i made no changes whatsoever to my browser.
